I loved it, the only gripe I had was I wish they brought in and expanded the lore on the Vampire Killer. Sure we got the "morning star", but there was nothing about the lore behind it. I would've loved for them to link in Sarah from LOI when they mentioned Leon, and then when he found the morning star, talked about the legend of her soul being in the whip.

Not only that , Julius is the only one that defeated Dracula at his strongest and sealed for good , even as a middle-aged , he defeated pretenders of Dark Lords as well. Heck , a holding back middle-aged Julius destroyed an entire wing of Castlevania/Dracula's Castle with just one Grand Cross.

We’re just killers out of history. It's time for us to go.” There was a pause, the two of them staring at each other in silence. Then Death asked; “And who’s going to make me go?” The distaste in its voice dripped with scorn. “You? With your bit of string in your hand?” An ironic smile curled Trevor’s lip in response as he raised his chain whip and held it taut before his chest. “Probably not.” He admitted. “But lets just give this one last go….shall we?”

i waited 27 years to see a castlevania show worthy of the name and cried a lot when 28 years after playing my favorite game..Dracula's Curse (Contra also fave)... i got to listen to Bloody Tears at a show...when they entered the castle... i enjoyed every second of this show and some people say "why trevor versus death?"... to which a reply... HE IS THE BELMONT... this whole franchise is lifted on the shoulders of the Belmont lastname...

I am with you on all of this. This entire show had me screaming in delight. Hearing Bloody Tears was a symphony of glorious destruction that made my blood boil in the most delightful way... And then seeing this fight... Trevor Belmont Vs Death- I was in tears. It was one of the most amazing experiences I have felt watching a show and I wish I could get that "first watch" back. Absolutely incredible.

This...this is a masterpiece. The slow rhythm of Bloody Tears in the background, as well as the orchestra in the background completely invoking a feeling of self-sacrifice and heroism. He truly made the belmonts so proud and made the whole world truly safe.

The absolutely most phenomenal finale to a show I think I've ever seen. It might even top ATLA's. Castlevania's ending had me on a string from about 3 episodes to the end, it really had me. And everything came together so beautifully, was executed so flawlessly. Don't know if I'll ever see a more satisfying ending again.

@@GoddessOfThree Castlevania peaked right here. This wasn’t the finale. And honestly, even if this and the finale were combined, it still doesn’t touch Code Geass. That show’s ending is one of the greatest parts of any story ever. And the buildup to it is perfect. From episode one you’re told how it’s gonna end. The only ones who should kill are those who are prepared to be killed.

"There's a larger war at stake. A war for the souls of our people" Death feeds off of souls. Belmont won the war for the souls of the people. The speakers should be proud.

I remember watching the last episode and I was like “I think it’s time for Trevor to Rest In Peace. Please free him from this pain.” And then they actually killed him and I was like “NOOOOOOO BRING HIM BACK, she’s pregnant with his child… noooo” and out of nowhere he returns. That was an emotional roller coaster for me 😂

I don't think he was killed, Sir Gemain opened the corridor for him as he killed Death. I'm not entirely sure but knowing Sir Gemains control over the corridor probably placed him out of harm before the daggers spell could kill him, and then leaving him on a beach somewhere.

Even without the context of the series, this piece still just embodies The Last Stand. Weather it's a group or a single person holding off an army, facing down the bringer of the end or telling Death themself to f**k off, this is hauntingly beautiful.

Just realizing that it was Death the one who manipulated the church into killing thousands of innocents including the Belmonts, gives this fight much more personal weight for Trevor

When elder Vampires and Dracula himself all knew who Belmont was, respected him, fear him and what that meant to fight one, you damn well know they are Not joking around. oh Death you poor sorry Bastard... As for you Samuel. This is a fitting tribute to that legendary fight. Well-done!

I love how it just screams a hero's sacrifice.

while I know the 3d games are looked down upon, Ive seen ppl try them again ( old ones not shadow) and like it alot, imagine if it was done reallly well. Hell even shadow the first one while getting hate after ppl said: ok that was fun. What im saying is ill take a new 3d one too, some 2d anything really! I just wanna play either a belmont or some kind of grimdark hunter with a side of hope lmao

Belmont was at his low point, Injured, tired... but he didn’t react to Death, he acted towards him, had the pieces fit together and even at his absolute lowest point, with only one arm not injured he managed to kill death, an elemental spirit, the first vampire to be ever born in this world... and he survived it. I really would love to see them all back in action... but in general I just hope this series in any way, no matter if sequel or prequel or whatever will continue... the writers have mad skill, the quality is amazing, I love it...

@@peetsaman8889 yes, agree 100 percent. That’s why I hope more for a sequel in the general Universe but with new fresh characters, new personalities and new troubles. Dracula is back, Alucard will always be around as well. The story was perfect. Good start, stayed good and the end is fitting for all characters. I will watch this show again, it was so good

@@lexmanoctun3266 he is so skilled. He not only managed to keep the story interesting during the entire show, he also made an ending that is so fitting and deserved. It wants you to see of this universe he created and wants you to see and watch more stories he has to tell.

We absolutely did not deserve an ending this triumphant and happy in the 2020's, and we had no right to expect Warren Ellis of all people to give it to us. But he did, and it makes me cry every time.

I love that they threw in a bit of bloody tears, goddamn this show will forever be gold.

If Samuel Kim is making a epic version of an ost from this show. It must be good! I’m watching it

Even more interesting when you consider that the reason all this shit started was because Death managed to create such an all-encompassing culture, within the church, of "kill anyone who looks slightly suspicious" that it resulted in the Church killing Dracula's wife

I love how the final battle of the series is basically a boss fight.

Hey Samuel can you PLEASE ReMake Castlevania S3: Trevor and Sypha vs Hell Spawn Demons.... MANY WOULD AGREE THAT THEY WANT THAT... Dont forget that classical organ sound as well.

This series was an extremely pleasant surprise. I went into with 0 expectations and was blown away by how good the show was.

2:25 you sneaky bastard that's bloody tears

This part of the anime was so epic!!

My favorite part about the scene is that Death acts just like a retro video game boss. Large, stands in one place without moving, makes telegraphed attacks you have to dodge, and just tanks damage until it starts to accumulate.

I've watched this battle like a hundred times. Pure epic. I love it when the hero goes all out. Nothing to lose. Now I want Dark Elf Trilogy made by the same studio.

Dude this theme, fight scene and everything else about the 9th episode was perfect love it.

Just the fact that he was ready to go toe to toe with Death, knowing he wasn’t going to win, but yet did.

It is fucking criminal that we wont get a fifth season. This anime is easily one of the best right now and very likely to stand the test of time.

Finishing the show with the defeat of Death, an elemental being so powerful and old that he was worship as a god, and at the top at the Castle of Dracula was the best idea (that of a season 5 with Satan as antagonist, but it's not the Lord of Shadow timeline unfortunately)

Best to end at the top. At least this chapter, the stories were told and we can enjoy the series for that. If it drags on, there is a greater chance they'll Game of Thrones the later seasons. Plus there are so many other genres and stories that are just waiting for a good team to tell them. Look at India's mythology, their stories. And I've never seen any anime explore them.

Well we're probably getting a Devil May Cry show after this one with the game va's, so there's that to look forward to.

Can I just say, I'm so glad they gave Trevor this epic moment by himself to be the utter hardcore slayer he is! This season was an absolute riot, and my boy Trevor taking home the gold!

My guy, calling you a legend would be a massive disservice to the value that you bring to this world with your epic skills. You are transcendental. Also in reference to my comment about requesting this remake, I’m a man of my word.

I come back to this pretty often. This show did so much for one of my most beloved game series where video game adaptations can often miss when studios try. The writing and full-circle arc for Trevor was amazing, and Richter is looking to be just as much

This show was incredible, an S tier protagonist, love story, a final fight that looked like a boss from dark souls, godlike animation, I could keep going... What a fucking pleasure, thankyou!

LIterally just finished season 4 yesterday, and wow, this serie is truly a masterpiece

I have seen hundreds of movies but this show had the most satisfying ending ever. It had all the dialogues, the courage, the fight, emotions and the best of all, main characters get to live. On top of that, the track was amazing.

Wow the art pic is beautiful and the music is breathtaking.

1:40 makes me feel as if I am ascending beyond the world itself.

My idea is that death(in this show) created the first Vampires giving them immortality and thirst for human blood so they could kill for him.

This anime is truly a masterpiece the story the plots everything was done so well

The fight between Trevor Belmont against Death is one of the best fights in the history of animation, and that theme. MY GOD, it drives me crazy with excitement when I hear it, seriously.

When a screenshot in the actual film look like a wallpaper. Season 1: mid-tier animation compares to japanese anime. Season 2: still mid-tier Season 3: the budget went higher and closed to top tier animation. With detailed background and extremely dark atmosphere. Season 4: *literally every fucking frame of the show is wallpaper worthy*

im sorry but thats just not true. From Episode 1 onwards Castlevania looked consistently better and much more fluent/polished than most Anime do. True, Season 1 and 2 didnt compare to the highest standard of animation masterpieces, but they were much better than "mid-tier".

What an absolute shit take

The way he says "I love you", you can really feel it.

I just rewatched the show and realized this is the same theme that plays when the trio enters the Belmont Hold and Trevor talks about his family which means this is more the theme for the Belmonts. It also makes this theme seem even more emotional cause it makes it sound like the ultimate end of the Belmonts as they perform their last, greatest deed for the world

There's also a deeper meaning: Trevor was ready to die. He gambled everything like in one of those videogames where you have to pick up all the clues to reach the good ending (crafting the knife he used in the end), but made clear to Sypha that she had to flee and keep their unborn child safe, and entrusted both to Alucard, so far his best friend in the whole world. He was "dictating his obituary" to Death, and his obituary was clear: "there's no place for old killers, time to go and leave the world to people that love to build things" The clan Belmont wasn't going to die there: not until Sypha carried another Belmont in her womb. Trevor was going to die there, to ensure his child would live, that he (or she, in the games according to the continuity Sypha either had a daughter named Ann, either a son samed Simon - name that in the continuity where Sypha had Ann was used for other descendants. Being alternate continuities and stuff, it's highly possible that due to Trevor gaining his "good ending", Sypha can have both Ann and Simon) would get a better life, that his son would become a builder helping the villagers around Belmont castle to create something new and not a killer. Just he was sure he wouldn't be able to see Sypha again, raise their child (or children), and that the new Belmont Clan would be a "clan of builders", away from the tainted legacy of the past. He gambled everything on a future he felt he was unworthy to live into, and making so he proved himself deserving to be a father guiding his child in that future

Those are actually much greater observations there. Well done! With that in mind and with Nocturne out, it further emphasizes this is truly the Belmont theme in the shows. In Nocturne, most of the very Belmont centric moments that occur have variations of this song playing (not gonna say when and where cause of spoilers) and it fits it so well. I’m really loving this theme now cause of that!

The most epic and best scene was when Belmont said "I love you" And Sypha said "I know"

After watching the first season I did not think this series was going to grab me as hard as it did. Season 4 has some amazing episodes!

One thing i love about this anime is they kept things sooo pure amd amazing it brings light ti a old game series that lacked major story development and made it absolutely amazing
