Also theoretically speaking, an Endgame, high leveled Soma is prob stronger, I mean the Claim Solias is better than the Vampire Killer IMO Not to mention the souls only amplify Soma’s ability, the Black Panther Soul is definitely faster than Julius

This game is what drawed me to Castlevania I was deterred before, but being a metroid fan I got into this game fast. I ended up playing and beating the original games after playing this game

My sentiments exactly! Metroid fusion drew me into the genre and when my brother got aria of sorrows in Nov 03, I was hooked. I realize now that Ive grown up, I sucked at this game as a kid. Regardless of that fact, the game kicks so much ass even today.

This mode is basically Soma's course but they replace Julius instead of Soma. Nothing else. You can actually reach the final area of the game like seconds!

Well yeah, the slide, underwater dive, double AND high jump, are all available from the start. Entering the Forbidden Area from the Study is the only barrier Julius hasn't already broken because it's an environment switch, not an ability barrier. And yeah, play Hard, beeline for Graham, see how that ends for you. I had to find out the hard way that Julius "levels up" by defeating the game's bosses, and both himself and Chaos are the only bosses he can't fight legitimately.

That's how almost all second characters in Castlevania's are. They usually have all abilities unlocked because they are added as extra fun instead of another game with the same map.

There's a free emulator site that has this game in it but you're gonna have to use the keyboard instead of a controller or whatever you use. It's myemulator.com I believe

SotN: Instead of playing as a Belmont you play as Alucard. Once you beat the game you unlock Richter Belmont. AoS: Instead of playing as a Belmont you play as Soma Cruz. Once you beat the game you unlock Julius Belmont.

Im still kind of sad that the final boss is still Graham, and you dont get a special final boss of Soma from the bad ending.

Aria of sorrow Is a excelent history for a Castlevania serie

The real challenge in this game is beating the final boss without actually fighting the rest since it is a grindfest. Each boss fought increases his combat stats so that he can actually fight on par with the higher tier bosses.

@@bryce7289 You actually unlock Julius Mode by defeating Graham as Soma. I dunno if you have to get the Normal Ending to do it, but I was surprised by how different it is to go immediately to Julius Mode instead of waiting until after you defeat Julius or Chaos first.

Like a lots of castlevania game, it's name was change in order to avoid religious censorship for exemple, in sotn the karasuman was named Malphas, the raven demon prince from hell, the holy version of legion is a reference to the angels bearing the throne of god and so on

The cross sub weapon Julius uses has a shape similar to a symbol widely used by Buddhists since very olden times. Basically, it is a type of swastika.

Pedro Luiz no in Julius mode you start with 800 life and level 1, for the rest of the game. you get no power-ups, no healths and no other abilities except for what you start with. its actually a lot harder than playing with Soma seeing as Julius only has 4 magic attacks and abilities contrary to Soma's 99....
