Forget “they think it’s all over” this is hands down the best piece of sports commentary of all time in any sport.

As an American who doesn't know a damn thing about rugby commentary this was amazing. I don't think anyone in the US could ever get away with this in any sport and thats a damn shame.

commentary like this is usually kept within the club and is the commentators for one side. you’d never find anything like this in a professional game but the commentary for them is just as good in other ways

Is it full blown Geordie? A Yorkshirian would have to confirm this. Watched Rhinos play the USA Hawks in a friendly in prep for the RLWC in 17(?) - since McDermott was the coach for both - and the announcers for the game had such a strong Yorkshire accent, it sounded like they had the flu or a billiard ball stuck in their throat.
