Moments like this is why we Bok supporters have this disposition to refs when we play against England, Australia and New Zealand in particular. We feel like we always get completely shafted on those calls. Reverse this incident and I have no doubt it would have been a penalty yellow/red. Probably a ban for life with a criminal sentence to add.

Haha that infamous Farrell on Esterhuizen tackle to ruffle the feathers and get the comments section ablaze... Put your earphones in... Angus "FarrellCockSucking" Gardner said to the TMO: "On that last tackle, is that high?" TMO: "Yes, that's correct, 10 white, replay's on the screen now". Angus "FarrellCockSucking" Gardner: "I believe there's enough of a (rap) on the far side for it to be a fair tackle." Translation: "Ok game over, well done Owie, see you in the showers for some playtime." Even the English commentators were shocked, and that's saying a lot... But no salt lads, best time for lunch in South Africa is at 12:32 or 13:27, you're all invited :)

Before I even started watching, I thought "Farrell". The stuff he gets away with is often worse than what he gets penalised for. And let's not mention his constant sniping at opponents and his captain's chats with the ref. The most unsportsmanlike player on the planet.

The last sentence of your comment is so ridiculously over dramatic it’s hilarious. Y’know there’s an ex player called Calum Clark who intentionally hyperextended an opposing player’s elbow causing it to fracture? Is Farrell worse than him? Try and actually look at what Farrell’s done with some objectivity instead of letting your emotions get the better of you.

@@charcolew Except what you’re saying isn’t true. Farrell’s career currently spans over 10 years and he has made thousands of perfectly legal tackles. The reality is that there were a couple of high profile incidents (like the one featured in the video) where he made a dodgy tackle he should have been punished for but wasn’t. And because of this, he’s now rugby’s Hitler for some reason. It’s laughable. Oh and actually my point is completely relevant. Intentionally breaking an opponent’s elbow is infinitely worse than anything Farrell has done. To claim he is the “most unsportsmanlike person on the planet” is just ridiculous and typical of a massive chunk of sports fans who can’t keep their emotions in check and look at things with any degree of objectivity. You should frankly be embarrassed of that statement.

I know it might be difficult for you to process this because you think the world is black/white with no middle ground but I’ll give you time to process it. What has he actually done? In a career that has currently spanned 10+ years where he has made literally thousands of perfectly legal tackles he has gotten away with some dodgy ones that he admittedly shouldn’t have, the number of which you can count on one hand, and shows a bit of niggle every now and then. Niggle? In a contact sport? Shocking. Deserves the death penalty. The reality is that a lot of fans are idiots who can’t control their emotions and think about these things with any degree of logic. There are players like Calum Clark, Bakkies Botha and Tomas Lavanini who are actually dirty but don’t get nearly the same level of criticism as he does because it’s not trendy to. Funny how all his team mates and opponents have nothing but massive respect for him, must be an dickhead. But please, continue to be a mindless arsehole who can’t think for themselves.
