Totally agree with James!!! People who have never played rugby will never understand the shenanigans that happen between teams/players on the pitch, we are brutal, but that’s why we love playing and everyone else just enjoys watching… 👀

The ‘Joe Marler is a cracking bloke’ line is old. No grown man randomly makes fun of a bloke’s mum. He knew what he was saying. Haskell’s story about his wife only strengthens that claim and indicates he says a lot of stuff he shouldn’t. Why? Cause he’s a knob head. And no matter how much of a ‘good lad’ he may be some of the time, it doesn’t excuse him being a piece of crap other times.

This seems like a less woke and morenlevel minded conversation about the topic. Shit gets said in the heat of the moment that on any other day can be laughed off, Joe got this wrong, but definitely worse gets said without punishment. I'm more intrigued as to how Farrwl gets off so lightly with shoulder to the head.....something that is way more serious given his history.

Max did the right thing, what Marler said was out of order, I’ve played in the front row and am all for sledging but that was way over the line

Let's put it this way, Club, Amateur I get it, it happens here in Nz too (though I doubt as often) At that level, you're professional players, representing not only the club, but in a way, that region. You're supposed to hold yourself to a higher standard.
