Cast Netting a New Pond!

In this video I go to a local pond that I've never cast netted before and catch shad for my pet bass. I ended up catching 16 bags of shad which is really good! Thanks for watching!

Lincoln S. Down in Arizona, the big lakes that have shad in them were illegally put in there. We mostly have bluegill as a baitfish in lakes/ponds. I bet those shad got in there from people using live ones as bait.

I freeze my fish in lightly salted water, inside of half-gallon milk cartons. The cartons hold a lot and stack easily and neatly in the bottom of my deep freezer. The water protects the fish against freezer burn.
