Recorded directly from HT-6000 stereo out to Emu sound card (24bit 48khz) with addition of Valhalla SuperMassive reverb.
So... this is Casio's SD synthesis flightship from the 80s! SD means Spectrum Dynamic but in real life it's a hybrid synth combining 64 digital waveforms and a sweet analog filter. Also, there are pitch LFO, DCA/VCF envelopes (both with ADSR) and a ring modulation option on some waveforms. On top of that HT-6000 has a pleasant analog chorus. It's programmable and you can split the keyboard with two different sounds.
The biggest advantage of HT-6000 is it's 4 oscillator configuration. You can choose just ONE waveform and ALL 4 Osc share it! Luckily, HT-6000 can change fine tune and scale of Osc 2, 3 and 4, then it can set different volume and velocity sensitivity of his oscillators. On some waveforms with Ring Modulation fine tuning values can dramatically change the sound.
HT-6000 looks like a toy with his plastic body, tons of buttons and two stereo speakers, but it also has velocity sensitive keyboard (61 full size keys), pitch and modulation wheels and two separate programming knobs: one for parameter (named MODE) and one for value data (named Tempo/DATA). Programming is similar to Korg DW/EX-8000 and EX800 (Poly800) synths: choose parameter No with MODE knob and then change parameter value with Tempo/DATA knob. HT-6000 has MIDI (In/Out/Thru) but it's limited, there's no SYSEX commands.
