I've had this watch w the green strap for 6 months. I work for as a mechanic and have banged this watch up. Covered it in black grime, oil, tire bead lubes, dunked it in water, hit it with tire bars and other tools... just plain beat the shit out of it lol when I get home and take a shower, it looks just the way it did when it came out of the tin. Incredibly durable, functions are on point, and I'd recommend it to anyone. I bought 3 more and gave them to my best men at my wedding.

After 5 years of owning my watch. I still appreciate watching your videos for help!

2 years since you uploaded this video there has been none better to watch if you want information about this particular watch, so damn good! I recently bought the GG-1000-1AER and i absolute love it!

I have to send you a big thank you. I know this isn't a new video but a few days ago I received my GG-1000-1A3DR, looked at the instruction book and thought, no way ! Then sat with the watch, put your video on the TV, went through each setting up point and everything went smoothly. I really appreciate the work you are doing. This is my second G-Shock in a few months on top of all my divers and I'm beginning to think the G-Shocks are even more addictive than the Seiko's!

You Sir are the GOLD STANDARD in watch reviews. Thank-you! No one does it better. 👍

You can also swap the world time and home time functions of the watch while you're in the world time mode. This is not mentioned in the video.

I have wanted this watch for some time now and really struggled with the size. I have done exhaustive research and have read countless positive comments but I still struggled with the size as I to do not the biggest wrists. I fineally made the purchase from a local jewlry store (because I have also learned more and more in my research how the fakes are really good at being undectable. I can say less than 24 hours of owning it that I LOVE this watch. Your video not only help with the set up but made me feel even better about my decision to purchase.

This is the best video for setting up the GG-1000. Clear presentation and instructions. I needed to do a complete set up after getting the batteries replaced and this video was a lifesaver.

would like to add one feature that "Watch Geek" left unexplained in the World Time section, actually you can adopt the world time from the digital time to your analog hand by pressing both the upper button (UL and UR) then your analog hand will using ur chosen digital city time, and vice versa (pressing those two upper button will then switch you back to your home town time)

I'd just purchased this watch for myself today and i love it! It is now my new daily driver. Thank you so much for this very in depth and detailed tutorial and review video! You are very much appreciated, Keep up the awesome work!

@@WatchGeek I have been using this watch for a year before , and faced an issue with the switches, it seems the the switches rusted from inside. Later I got a replacement GG1000 From Casio and now again' the same issue is noted for the watch. Do you have any input to this scenario?

There are many videos out there for Mudmaster. Your video however, is the absolute best. I have saved and referred to it for the past four years everytime I need to make an adjustment or change batteries. Your understanding and explanation is excellent! Thank you sir.

I really want to thank you for your tutorial on this watch. I had read the directions several times but didn’t really get the gist of how to reset the analog settings. You’ve taught me to love this watch all over again. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!

@@2fast2block the battery is rated a 2 years of normal usage. You can get more use out of them if you don't use the functions much.

Just bought mine in dark LED. Absolutely beautiful!

The best review on G-Shock (or any watch for that matter) that I have ever watched!!! You're not just very knowledgeable about this model but you you talk abut things that could've only been learned from experience with using it! Thank you very much. I don't even need to do more research as I've just set my new GG 1000 up using this video! Bravo on the quality of the video as well. The camera is steady and always in focus, the sound level and light is perfect and you took the time to do a table of content. Love your work! Huge thumbs up!

Just got this watch couple weeks ago and your tutorial is the best I seen. I am 50 years old and this is my first Casio ever. Been collecting Omega, Breitling and Tag watches most my life but really enjoying this model. I have looked at the GWG 1000 also but this model fits the bill perfect for me. Keep up the good work. Watching your video's making me get another casio the full metal 5000 model.

I’m 45yo, i used to use CASIOs since childhood but when i got my 1st OMEGA it was hard to replace it by any watch till i got my GG1000 before 2 years, and now it becomes my all day watch..wonderful watch👍🏻👍🏻

Thanks for your comprehensive revue , i had it in mind to purchase a gg1000 and your review sealed the deal. After it arrived i thought i had been sold a dummy, but careful following of your instructions and bingo !!!! Perfection , the watch is so comfortable on my wrist that i forgot to take it off and wore it to bed something i have not done since receiving my first wrist watch aged about 8 or 9 years old, i am now in my 70s. I love this watch and being analogue and on the large side it is the only watch i own that i can read without my spectacles on.

Great video thinking of getting one my self. Just wanted to mention though, there are 3 other ways to tell if you've purchased a fake GG 1000. 1st the top of the # 6 on the real GG meets the function wheel right @ the tip, on a fake one there's a bigger gap in between the 6 & the wheel. 2nd, the function wheel itself on the real GG is raised or has a 3D effect almost, where as on the fake one the function wheel is barley raised @ all. Finally, the straight line that goes across the top digital display right under the time is directly on the lcd under the glass. On the fake GG the line is painted on the glass above the lcd. Hope this helps others looking to purchase this model on websites such as ebay.

I was so close to buying this over my Rangeman 9400 as I still think it looks better but just couldn't do it due to the dated tech! Old V2 sensors plus less features. Besides I'm addicted to G squares now lol. Thanks...

For shore this is the best and complete explanations of this watch! You have note 10+! I had follow all the instructions and I had set my watch accordingly. I have gg1000-1aer since couple of days. First i bought model 1a8er, but i couldn't get used with the negative screen and after 1 week i returned it for 1aer. It's a very nice watch with all necessary instruments on it. I payed 273 Euro on it. For the last 2.5 years i had was a smartwatch and i had to charge it every 2 day, couldn't get it into salty sea water and stuff. Also I like to wear 24 hours/day the watch. So I came back to old school watches and very happy. Conclusion: nice watch, nice tutorial!

I bought mine from Ebay for a really good deal, i compared it to this video and it's exact the same with the same functions. Ebay have their 100% money back if something wrong with the product. I hope you are enjoying your GG1000 !

I find that the negative display with yellow numbers that Casio does is very easy to read in all light conditions, as good as positive ones. It’s my favorite type of Casio display, negative with yellow numbers

Gerson Mtz. During sun and day light with lot of sun it's kinda hard to read, but in low light condition/dark it's very easy to read and that is why I like it so much! I believe for overaall easy to read the posutive display is the best ☺️

My digital display almost unreadable under all light conditions...

I purchased the casio GG 1000. Mudmaster. What a great tutorial what an awesome watch the twin sensor the temperature and the Compass. Awesome watch. Collect watches I have over 72 watches. I have rolex, tag, omega, Oris. I really really like all of my watches but this watch here the reason I liked this watch is because it's durable it has a light on it has so many different countries timezones Time zones I don't use them but they're there if I need it too. This guy is very knowledgeable of the watch and the function of this beautiful time piece. He is very good one of the best. Makes it clear and very very understandable. Thanks a lot for all of your help looking forward to more great tutorials.

I found the GWG too expensive and is like "too much" in terms of how it looks. The GG looks better.

Perfect info. Watched another video first which had me rotating the watch in the directions shown to calibrate the compass, like calibrating a phone. It had me about 10 degrees off. This explanation of the compass calibration around the 23.30 mark had it perfect. Thank you.
