Such genuine children Mike & Kerri are to Casey. And whatever power Jean had to block his own children from seeing their own father is proposterous, disrespectful, ponderous & very unforgivable!!!!! Kerri & Mike, if you're reading this, I can assure you that karma will come back to bite Jean right where it hurts! & hope you'll both find comfort. What Jean did was VERY unforgivable!!!!

I agree with you 100% on this! I loved tuning in to Casey’s show every Sunday morning while having my breakfast and coffee for years. My dream of meeting him came true in 2006, and we kept in touch for a few years after that. I’m so thankful I had the opportunity to be friends with him and how he inspired me to be the DJ I am today through the friendship I had with him and what he always told everyone to do at the end of his show. “Keep your feet on the ground and keep reaching for the stars!” Casey, thank you for all the love and joy you brought to everyone through “American Top 40” and voicing Shaggy on “Scooby-Doo.” You may be gone physically, but may your spirit live on in our hearts forever!

I used to listen to Casey every Sunday morning until he retired from his radio show. I even met him back in 2006, and we kept in touch for a little bit after that. I'm so thankful for what a difference he made in my life, as well as being one of the reasons why I have the dream to be a DJ. Casey, my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family during this difficult time.

Sometimes, when a person's health is failing, there comes a point when that person nolonger wants to be exposed to bitterness, animosity, and back biting. A person just grows weary, and wants any shred of peace that can be had. I suspect there was tremendous tension in the house whenever those kids came around. Specifically the vocal one. Casey used his voice as a tool for love, joy, and peace. There is much to be learned from his example.

This breaks my heart. It's horrible to know that Casey, who's brought so much joy to so many people, is being battled over like this when he's seriously ill and should be around not only friends and family but qualified professionals who can care for him. The fact that Jean is banning everyone from seeing him is just horrendous--I could almost see her standing in a corner of his room, just waiting for the inevitable that will come with him not having the emotional and medical care he needs. Gold-digging bitch. Be strong, Casey. We love you.

If the only 1 thing that mattered to Casey was his children then Jean didn't want that to happen, she probably told Casey your kids don't want to see you and at his stage of health it made him worse so it killed him faster and that's what Jean wanted so she can have his will !

I had heard that Casey Kasem had dementia and had died, but I had no idea that his kids from his first marriage were not allowed to see him because of their evil stepmother. That is just cruel and awful. I wasn’t close to my dad, but we were allowed to see him one last time before he died from emphysema. The woman he was married to did not stand in the way of that happening at all. He had a do not resuscitate order because he didn’t want to suffer, and I didn’t want to see that happen either. Something like this would be far, far worse when kids are close to their dad, but not allowed to see him.

Perhaps they caused pain on their father and Jean was protecting him. Children often don’t realize how they may harm parents by trying to gain control as they did. Casey and Jean were married for a long time and it is obvious when she speaks that she loved him deeply. His children speak of love but never shed a tear, it’s seems to be all about their right to tear apart their father’s life. No respect. I sincerely hope that Jean one day can regain enough of these difficult years caring for him that she lived to speak up. The children obviously have no idea of the courage it took.
