I just built a PC for a friend of mine in this case. With the included fans and the control hub set up how it is, I actually felt the need to double check my work - I kept feeling like I was forgetting to install something! lol This case was an absolute joy to build in and, unless Be Quiet releases something new to improve on this by next year, I WILL be putting my next build in this case.

I've built in both a Be Quiet and Montech case. They both get the job done if on a budget, but there were definitely differences in quality. I'll give Montech points for some nice creature comforts (like the top USB and aux covers), but it has thinner metal that sacrifices some structural soundness. I was actually worried mine was warped to the point of needing to send it back because only 3 of the feet would touch when it was fully torn down to start the build. It was fine once it was built and put back together, but that tells me the various panels were pulling things back into alignment. Don't really want to deal with a wobbly case during the build.

I recently built my first pc in the DF700 Flux. Found it after searching some reviews and liked the mesh panel design on the front for airflow. Plenty of room for everything and includes 5 fans for $100 even. This case looks pretty sweet too but I personally like the sleek black case look more.

@@emanemanresuresucases aren't complex and there are 100s of manufacturers.. so in this case, capitalistic competition works great. Nvidia has basically a monopoly and is in the best state ever. So they can define the prices. "Too high for you? well, then don't buy it. We have millions who instantly buy them" Amd can't do much and isn't stupid as higher prices is also beneficial for them. I am currently saving up for this case! Even though it costs $200, I don't mind investing in it because of the level of thought and care put into its design. What sold me on this particular case is the cable management system and splitter. The sound-dampening feature is also pretty cool, even though it might seem gimmicky. The best thing about investing in a good case is that it can last indefinitely, or at least until you decide to change it for a new aesthetic.

I recently upgraded my case to the black version of this case because I bought a 280mm AIO and it wouldn't fit very well in my previous case, the only option was front mount and lower than the CPU pump block for the rad. Big step up from the Coolermaster MB520. Everything fit really easily, cable management was really good, there is plenty of room on the back side for thick or layers of cables. As others have pointed out, you need an optional extra cage for 3.5" drives, but you can fit up to 2 on that removable panel where the RGB/PWM hub is, they include the rubber mounts and screws for it. You can also move that bracket down to a lower position, or have an additional one also. With the 2.5" SSD mount bracket you looked at, the SSDs actually go on the "glass-side" and cables feed through that plastic bit, so you can actually display your SSDs through the window without having to see the cabling. It looks pretty good actually, especially if you can colour code your SATA SSD with the rest of your build.

Finally a case from a Company that you can use right out of the box with quality fans with front filters under the fine mesh for better dust control or take them off for more air included. This case like all others design the top for dust control and the top should more open as it is almost always exhaust and I would just leave the fine mesh cover off or make the holes larger and cut out the under mesh. For me this is not quit my case for desk top as it is a little larger then needed and as desk top I like the I/O on the bottom to use like the NZXT H6 Flow is.

You didnt understand the HD thingy .... well, as the manual shows you need to use a HD bracket for it which you then slide into the pre-installed holder. Not sure tho if the bracket comes with it or has to be purchased seperately. Anyhow, another great vid from you guys 🙂

It looks like the hard drive cages are missing which mount to the drive and have thumb screws to attach to the drive bracket you were wondering about. There is a similar setup in the current case I am using (Pure Base 600).

14:50 It includes the trays to attach SSDs, but the HDD trays are sold separately. Gone are the days when cases included the hardware to install multiple mechanicals HDs.

The HDD Cases needed to be bought separately. 4 3.5" HDD can be mounted but you need buy 4 cases for it (around 7 Bucks each) those cases slots in the Holding bracket, which can be mounted in the lower compartment and two can be mounted at the HDD wall. Thats one of the big strenght of the Be Quiet Cases. I got the First Be Quiet Case a Silent Base 800. And the Parts of the Silent Base 802 are still fitting to my Case. So i got literally now 10 years Parts support for my Case.

The only issue I have is the Hard drive mount Lip where the wires come through should be taller so the Wires do not get Crimped . I love the case, This specific case I can purchase the Open Front panel with LED for about $50

I really want you to talk about, or do a pseudo watercooling setup. While you can imagine and see what to do in a case, once you start building in a case, you start realizing what is missing. Even doing a random assortement of putting a pump/rads/components will help a ton with how good a case can be in the worst case (custom water cooling). My case was one of the best cases for watercooling, and the thing that wasn't seen was how little cable space between the powersupply and pump location.

My first foray into computational fluid dynamics was to actually run the analysis/simulation on computer cases. This was back in around the 2004-2005-ish timeframe. It's obviously more work to be able to model the computer case, just so that you can put it through CFD, but it is cool (to me, at least) nevertheless.

I bought one a few months ago, and I'm quite happy with it. I was wondering if I'm missing some components to attach my HDDs, but it seems it is an oversight from BeQuiet... Also because I still can't decide which cpu platform upgrade to my mobo was to old and don't have right connector to connect hub to I had to connect each fan directly to mobo but it was very easy to route cabels so you can berly see them.

Huh, the form factor is pretty similar to the LianLi Lancool 216, though it has less mesh in the back. I do also like the way that the accent LED lights along the sides of the front panel look as well.

I would like to see you building a custom loop water cooling system in it while maxing out the radiators in the front and top. I consider buying this case for my son and putting 2 420 or 360 radiators in. But I don't really trust the manual.

I've been considering getting either the black be quiet! Pure Base 600 ATX Midi Tower Case ($110.38 o Amazon), which comes with two pre-installed Power Wings fans or the Antec Performance Series P7 Neo Mid-Tower E-ATX Silent Case ($74.99 on Amazon) with 5.25 ODD bay, 3x 120mm fans, and sound-dampening side panels. I'm no fan of RGB lights, so that doesn't interest me, though there seems to be more plastic parts inside this case than I'd like.

Since I bought all of my PC components and later ran into the issue of having not enough CPU Tower cooling clearance, I am a beginner builder, therefore messed up about 2mms of clearance, whereas I had to buy me a new case, which I didn't want to do at first. I had to find a very big case in order to fit my noctuah cooler, now my initual impression was, that I wanted to get the be quiet 800 dx, but it had smaller only 180mms of cpu cooling clearance and the Pure Base 500DX had 190mm. I went for the Pure Base 500DX my system is working fine now, but seeing this HUGE CASE in that review, makes my heart shatter :(

If you want to stop getting shocked so much, touch your watch to a grounding point, such as a screw on an outlet cover. The static spark jumping across the body of the watch makes it painless for you.

I didnt expect to learn this in a random case video. But that thing about opening a program and all your fans ramping up and backdown is an issue I have had for a long time, and its not really an issue, but annoying to hear especially since im anticipating it every time I open a program. Thx for the info, I am def changing this in my build so the fans are on different controllers

My favorite case so far is still Corsair 4000D Airflow. I haven't found one that comes close to that yet in term of the design, simplicity, cost, and just the airflow. I don't have to think about the fan design because it's just 3 in the front and 2, top and 1 on the back and that's it. I don't like those cases where they mount 9+ fans with sides and bottom and it's just killing simplicity of it. And the airflow is great because they basically have airflow from top to bottom and front and back. It's just triangles see through holes everywhere, and it's great. The PSU shroud is also not blocked either. I don't get cases where they have a sealed off PSU shroud. The only downside I would say is they only come with 2 pre-installed fans, so you just have to spend some extra money on some fans and swap it out and it's great. I just use those Thermalright TL-C12CW-S X3 CPU Fan 120mm White ARGB and it's great. You buy (2) sets of those and it's only like $30. It's fantastic.
