CASABLANCA - A whole DIFFERENT MOROCCO! Travel Vlog
In this travel vlog I'll show you the real Casablanca. Maybe you know the history and the movie, but what's the city like now?
I'll show you the not just the sights such as the Hassan II Mosque, Casablanca's Medina, Rick's Cafe (the recreation from the Casablanca movie) and Cathedral du Sacre Coeur, but also around the city - the architecture, the places, the districts.
It's a city that's not blessed with so many big tourist sights, but once you walk around and get to know it, it certainly has it's charms.
** Please note a mistake I made in the video - Morocco was a French protectorate, not a colonization, Moroccans kept all their adminstration and sultan for 44 years 1912-1956. Thank you to those who pointed out the mistake! **

Great job Chris! Casablanca DOES have a 'unique' urban charm. The area around Arab League Park is DEFINITELY beautiful, just like those battered and chipped whitewashed medina walls, topped by circular ribbons of barbed wire adjacent to Rick's Cafe...just something viscerally cool about Dar el Bayda's whole Moroccan 'Big Apple' hipster vibe.

It's like telling him to go to hay lmohemadi , yeah there is a lot of poor people there , but why would he go , every place in Casablanca is real casablanca
You said on numerous occasions :”it feels modern european, French spanish not typical Moroccan “. “ it was bombarded and rebuilt by the French “ this and that .Ok let me correct you and please don’t be offended . We conquered Europeans be fore they conquered us and before they got cocky with their acquisition of the Chinese gun powder that made them feel invincible and made them commit genocides . My point here is not making your continent look bad but remind you of history that never goes away and correct lies and false ideas . When we went to Europe and particularly south Europe which not only included Spain Portugal and southern parts of Italy we found nothing in Europe not even a well built HUT 🛖 in fact people lived in caves and did not have soap or toothpaste to wash their filth . We teach Europe how to properly built castles and homes. Muslims were for the forefather’s of engineering , science , philosophy, mathematics , physics , Medecine and astronomy . In fact European were still living in the dark stone ages when we were way ahead of them . The French themselves copied the art of building “ Chateaux” from Andalusian Muslim build castles and mosques in Andalucia Spain . In fact if it wasn’t for the Muslims science innovations and mastery you wouldn’t have anything today . The fathers of modern Medecine , pharmacy, mathematics , algorithms and many other sciences are all Muslims . So you coming here telling us that it looks “ European and modern” please don’t forget where it came from truly 😊. Have a blessed day. And long live the US of A 🇺🇸 and Morocco 🇲🇦 forever Allies against ennemies that want to do us harm .

Thanks for the detail, and no offence taken! I certainly don't know all of the history, and wouldn't try to put that in my videos anyway as I'm sure I would make mistakes.
