#diymusician makes an semi-acoustic upright bass. This will be the visible top of a smallish (for a double bass) resonating body made of #douglasfir. The radius of the curve here is pretty large…it’s about 13mm deep over 25cm wide in the middle, but that’s comparable to instrument tops in general. It’s hard to see on camera, but pretty obvious when you see and touch in person. Sometimes people might wonder…this is about 2hrs of work compressed down to a 50 second video.
