I think Doug might be transcending into the very wizards he creates. He’s just at his humble apprentice stage right now.

Where I used to live, in British Columbia, there was a trail with these scattered all over. It was very nice and whimsical. the bark kind of heals itself and it makes it really look like part of the tree

I wonder how the sculpture ages. Does it deform as the tree grows?

Nice beard Doug! If you keep growing it, youll end up as one of your gnomes, with the thing so long it trips you over.

A follow up video in a few months to see how the tree healed and carving aged would be nice. If all is well, then you earn the title of steely eyed carver guy! Nice work sir!
