    Mekhi handled a Penn State great, Vincenzo Joseph, for his lone title. Crazy to think how good Carter is if he can do this to Mekhi.

    Mekhi hasn't gotten better it seems. The year he won, nobody took him down coming into the finals. And he had a run on the international scene.. that person is gone

    I guess we were watching a different match. Joseph got caught being sloppy reckless and he paid with points. But he didn't get handled. I saw the same thing happen to Spencer and he ended up counting lights. No matter how good you are, you can never be reckless.

    Starocci (3 timer) > Mekhi Lewis (1 timer) > Joseph (2 timer) > Isiah martinez (2 timer). Hard not to think in an average weight class that Mekhi is not a 3 timer

    Carter is absolutely relentless. He just keeps attacking and bringing endless pressure. His cardio is insane. Guy is very fun to watch!

    The bow and arrow with the toe is covered is dangerous. Official was on top of it. They will need to watch this the way they watched Spencer Lee's arm bars.

    Carter looks completely dialed in and i think he will win his fourth, but lets not forget just last year! Both Spencer and RBY who i believe had the two longest undefeated streaks both lost defending their title and going for number 4 and 3 respectfully. Or Otoole losing too Carr twice during the year then putting it all together when he had too! Literaly anything can happen and as I'm sure you all know wrestling is the one sport where just one mistake can literally cost you everything, but that is also what makes it so great!

    Im a penn state fan, but man...i felt for mekhi...he was in such obvious pain during this match. I wonder if it would have been a little closer if he wad healthier? Who knows....carter is on another level....

    Carter already had a bad right knee with it being wrapped so it was injured previously i qould assume.

    Proof as to why you should work on your speed explosiveness and strength as much as your technique. There were no secret moves in that match. Just power and explosiveness.

    I’m all for pure dominance and relentless , I’m not for purposely hurting an opponent. That turq was way past legality and to do it on his wrapped knee is just beyond screwed. It’s a game at the end of the day

    It was pretty close until the end of the 2nd period. I don't think this was a super beatdown or anything, but Starocci is definitely improving quicker than Lewis.

    I think going up a weight class wasnt a good move for him. Guys at 174 are just as strong as him, his strength is still an advantage at 174 but it was greater at 165
