Love Carter releases. I own a Carter Quickie and a Wise Choice. Both great releases. I also have a couple of Scott releases that I really enjoy shooting: Backspin, Focus, Lil' Goose and a Shark. All great releases. Gonna check out some of the Stan's soon.

Have a little sneaky at the Mybo Victory + from Merlin. It's a similar thumb, not a hook though, but does look more adjustable. Comes with a removable part to switch between 3 or 4 finger, you can move the button quite a lot and adjust the sensitivity from hair trigger through to wookie punch.

This is a very good trigger from Carter. Only thing I've noticed that's worth mentioning is this release cannot be set as heavy as other Carter releases like the Just B Cuz and all the other variants with that mechanism.

The biggest strength of this release isn’t mentioned in the video or in the comments! This thumb trigger uses the same handle and jaw geometry as the Carter NV hinge - their latest hinge - so you can swap between hinge and trigger seamlessly. Only the Truball Abyss flex and Fulkrum flex also accomplish this and by all accounts the Abyss trigger mechanism isn’t one of their best. The Stan Perfex has thumb and resistance variants but they’re not hinges. I have loads of releases and my hinges need a slightly different peep height vs my triggers if I want the anchor to be optimal. This is a pain in the backside, but won’t be an issue with the NV and EZ, hence why I have ordered both. I just hope they’re as good as their other releases! Love the Total Control mechanism but not the open handle or fiddly adjustment and the NV fixes both. Love all the Carter triggers, perhaps except the Sensation which is ‘OK’, because you can’t adjust the tension and it is set a bit heavier than I’d like to compliment the evolution resistance release. I hope I am not disappointed y the NV and EZ!!!

Back to shooting the Xpression? Why? Still love that bow, looks amazing

I picked one up today as my first compound. I got it in purple, which is my favorite color, and at 40-50 pounds. I haven't taken it out of the shop yet, but it felt awesome to shoot. I'm still just waiting for some accessories for the bow, so I can't shoot it at my club yet.

I swap between a Carter Ember and Scott BackSpin, depending on how Im feeling on the day. I used to use a Truball 360 but it chewed a spring and it started not going off when I punched the thumb. Fixed it but lost faith in it too. Its my reserve release now.

Can you do a review on stanislawski resistance release..

Just tried one, very light in weight,adjustment is tricky making contact with the Adjustable screw is a pain. If your D-LOOP is not straight ie to one side not easy to hook on to the release. Be very careful when pulling back the hook is small any twist of the hand is off. For me the worst Carter release I’ve tried, sent it back, and in my opinion not for beginners and of course only my experience.

Lol, just punching it is the reason my brain can't handle buttons.

Good review ? Life is way too short to have to screw with two procedures to set the hook. Flip the hook AND LOCK it. The Wise Choice locks with one push of a button and you're ready to draw. The Carter Total Control hook just flips into the ready position.

Everything Tru-ball is overly expensive ......
