I'm here with the Air Force and work with munitions. It's pretty awesome here in Japan. You have to put up with a curfew and some other restrictions sometimes but it's not to bad.

Thanks man! We do have okinawa.bookoo.com/ which is kind of like a craigslist but it is mostly only used by Americans. Also they have yahoo auctions japan.

Was @ Kadena, 2011-2014. Bought a nice 2000 Sylvia from Johnnys'. Of course, I made sure the 2 yr. Shaken (JCI) was included BEFORE purchase. Sold it in 2014 to some Security Force guy before EOS. Wouldn't been worth it to ship to Tokyo, where I reside, now.

Yea sorry. I just missed a few I guess because I am so used to seeing them. I love the Cosmos. I think they are so cool. The little Suzuki is some sort of Kai car. The cars with the yellow plates mean they have 660cc engine displacement or less.

Some of them are in pretty good condition. Some of them if you really get to looking at them up close you will see a lot of rust.

We're I live (michigan) there are lots of cheap stock JDM cars. I saw a manual fd a for $9000! There are also hundreds of subies and evos. There are about ten listings for manual 240sx's (not all stock tho 4 were sr20 swapped) one was 50k miles bone stock Manual for 3k! Needless to say I love Michigan

They probably are cheaper on the other side of town and not near the base. I grew up a military brat and when my dad was stationed over seas things was more expensive near the base...lol

Driving in Japan is very expensive, and public transport is very reliable, so people don't drive a lot, and used cars often have incredibly low mileage. Where I live, a used car with 140000 kms is considered basically new, while used cars in Japan are mostly at around 80000 kms. But vehicle ispection is very strict, and your car has to be perfectly maintained to pass, so buying cars this old, even with low mileage is just not worth it.

+mark gonzalez there are no stupid questions here man! It's not to hard, especially in Okinawa. In Okinawa about 20% of the land is a US military base lol. There is definitely a large American presence here. Once you get a little further away from a base though it gets a little tough if you don't know a little Japanese. Most of the people here are extremely nice too and super helpful. There are a few of the older Japanese men who seem to still hate us and sometimes the locals protest some of the Marine bases. Overall it's not very hard and it's an amazing place to live.
