Can I just say that I actually think it’s better that he didn’t win. I feel like a lot of other films would have just had the main character winning and I feel that it makes a bigger impact that he gave up the cup only to help out someone else. I honestly love this film as it was a big part of my childhood. Even if Mc Queen is a piece of si- in the beginning.

Personally, I think the Rusty car prejudice was a mixture of ageism and classism.
