That is a great idea, Lillian Eversole. I expect she will one day, but I think I'm going to Amazon, look up ALL of the hymns she's sang over the years, purchase each one and make my own CD of this beautiful lady worshipping our Lord. She sings several duets that come to mind, that would be perfect to add to her solos. Duets with Vince Gill, Randy Travis, Michael W. Smith, and many more. This video and come to think of it, wasn't her very first single, "Jesus Take the Wheel?" Thanks again for the idea, Miss Eversole. Maybe she'll read your post and do just that!! I was saved in my church at age 13, too & I THINK it was to this song, too. This was a very popular invitation song in my church. To this day, it’s a very emotional one for me to hear & the Holy Spirit never fails to move through me when I listen to or sing along with this song. It is precious to me.

I have no shame in admitting it. I am a 35-year-old guy and was nearly weeping by the end of this. Absolutely breathtaking yet heartbreaking performance by her.

I sang this song the night my fiancé died on 2/22/1988, I was 29 yrs old, living 3000 miles away from my home and family....after the squad came and took him away, I was all alone...and I paced the house singing this song. It was the first thing I could think to do, until I heard from the hospital..this song got me thru it....his family didn't want me to go with the squad, so I could stay behind to keep in touch with his sister who was at home with his young niece and nephew...I still remember that night...he was weary and tired...that was my purpose for being in CA..to bring him some sort of being settled in his life.

There was a reason her voice broke. This was the In Memoriam segment of the CMAs. Towards the end they showed photos of the victims of the Las Vegas mass shootings on the screens. Understandably she started crying and could not finish the song.

Randy and Mary live across the lake from our daughter, s-i-l and grandkids. They were out for dinner not so long ago, and the Travis's were at the next table. Mary was really sweet with our grandkids; Randy still needs lots of prayer.

I cried through the whole performance. God was with you to help you get through this wonderful tribute to all those who have gone before us. Never stop singing!

I absolutely love Carrie Underwood. Shes got this amazing ability to get the attention of her fans and keep it. When she did her tribute song for those who lost their lives in Los Vegas and other places around the country, I too found myself fighting back tears people are being killed by psychos and terrorists for not having the right color of skin or not serving the same religious beliefs. It's not enough that people died in major 100 year storms this year. Innocent people attending a country music concert were killed for no good reason whatsoever. When will the hatred ever end, and when will the killing stop? We're all the same in the eyes of God. We all bleed the same red blood. Im tired of people killing people. It one thing if you're in the military or a cop. Its your job to keep people safe. Sometimes you have to kill to protect yourself.

When I hear Carrie sing this song my first thoughts are what a singer. When she finished, my only thoughts are What A Saviour. That is the highest compliment you can give to a singer who is singing about their Lord Jesus Christ.
