This is the first music video I have seen of the Carpenters back in 75 on one of those late night shows. Hard to believe that was 34 years ago...how time flies.

This is an Awesome song and GR8 video. I still miss Karen to this day, but when I listen to her I remember the good times also. It upset quite a few of us when she developed Anorexia Nervosa, but I don't really think about that anymore. It's a difficult disorder. One of my best girlfriends developed the disorder and I helped take care of her. I Still Love them and miss them, but they'll never be forgotten in my heart and soul :-)

Karen era ternura y alegria porque ella era toda la magia , la gracia y el encanto que podia caber en un cuerpo de mujer .El sol que acariciaba su piel puso en sus ojos el brillo de la alegre primavera y en su boca una sonrisa de miel . Era lo mas cercano al Cielo que he visto . Y yo quisiera ahora vivir la eternidad dedicandole los versos mas hermosos que una mano de hombre pudiera escribir .

@georgygirl2 I think she was really happy here. Karen loved Disneyland, and Mickey Mouse in particular. On the one hand, she had a naive, innocent, fun-loving side to her---on the other, she had a mature, introverted, dark side. She was a complex individual, but this video showed her child-like fun side.

The Marvelettes original always sounded like a dirge. The Beatles and the Carpenters got it right in my opinion. This should be a happy, upbeat, fun song. One of Karen's best performances.

Mais tarde, uma segunda interpretação foi gravada pelo The Carpenters, cuja versão levou a composição de volta ao 1º lugar na Billboard Hot 100, em janeiro de 1975. Particularmente eu acho a versão do The Carpenters a melhor de todas. The Best!!!!
