Music brings all of us together. Blessings.
Such a sad ending to one of the most beautiful voices ever. Karen was also a great drummer if there is anyone out there who didn't know. She actually played the drums on the albums that the Carpenters recorded. Karen also played drums for their earliest concerts until she was advised by her agent that she should be in front of a microphone and not behind a set of drums. She was very uncomfortable with this. Incedently, the Carpenters were discovered by Herb Alpert of the tiajuana Brass who signed them on to A and M records of which he was coowner. Sing on Karen. Sing with the angels.
I never get tired of listening to her songs. Too bad she is no longer with us. She is a great loss to the music industry.

I’m almost 64 years old and I grew up listening to the carpenters, that poor woman’s life was tragic, she looked outside of her family to find something they couldn’t give her. Her story was tragic.
Her voice is magical. Even as a dedicated Slayer fan, I always love to come back to Karen's voice.

the problem with compiling a Greatest Hits album when it comes to the Carpenters, is that virtually every single one of their songs deserve to be on such a list. i am not sure i can say that about any other musicians, not even about Mozart himself. that is quite an accomplishment, but the fact is that the Carpenters were perfect

Doesn't it remind you of something along the lines of our favorites from that era? : "Karol Duchoň - V Dolinách (originálna verzia)" "Tomáš Seidmann a TOČR Bratislava - Pieseň si chráň (1979)" "Vieroslav Matušík & TOČR Bratislava - Žena (1976)" "TOČR Bratislava - 2 inštrumentálne skladby" "Zbojník Dočolomanský" "Alexandrovci Na kráľovej holi" "FS-Šumiačan,FS-Vernár ,Na Kráľovej holi-1996" "Karol Duchoň - Zem pamätá /live/, Bratislavská lýra 1974, ČSSR, 1974" "Helena Blehárová - Čo šepká zem (1974)" "Eva Kostolányiová - Mestom zvoní smiech" "Eva Kostolányiová - Bábika" "Eva Kostolányiová - More lásky"
THOSE WERE SUCH HAPPY TIMES...
Such a sad s5ory of one of the greatist musical voices ever. I saw them in concert when I was 13 years old I knew I had just expirienced a beautiful voice zI had ever heard. Her distinctive voice makes her a legend in her own time.
