    Iv use a Fox bivvy Years, and the ultra brolly. A bivvy takes long to set up, a brolly has the internal stuff to smash your head on constantly, but this! This is a mix between, quicker than a bivvy, more head space than a brolly. Fox has a shelter for everyone’s needs, but my favourite thing about fox.....the price! Best value for money out the in my opinion

    The Evo is a classic bivvy design that has been around for more than 20 years, way before the Tempest was ever dreamt of. It is much lower price, and much more compact, and most likely appeals to a different type of angler. We re-released the Evo because we had so many requests from anglers over the years who believed other shelters on the market did not offer them what they missed from the Evo.

    Seems way more versatile than a tempest , and it's cheaper . And you don't have to buy a ground sheet , mozzi front or storm poles extra . As for poor man comment that's judgemental on people's financial circumstances. Well done Fox 🎣🤙🏽

    Is this a updated version of the evolution brolly shelter? Wich had high qualety alloy poles .It was quite long when in its bag but really lite and had a additional over wrap as a extra .Great bit of kit .Had it had a provision for a front zip on panel I would still be using mine.

    Instead of releasing new tents and shelthers you should better care for the many people who want a winterskin for the fox royale classic camo! one year after release you took it of the market.

    Why only 2000 hydrostatic head ? Been waiting for this and you deliver a very disappointing product! Tut tut Fox !

  • @Eightball69

    @Eightball69

    5 жыл бұрын

    Hydrostatic head just means a column of water sitting on the fabric. It's actually a bit meaningless in real world use. On paper a high hydrostatic head figure sounds great. In use, as long as the fabric is treated correctly with Grangers/Fabsil/Nik Wax treatment you'll never have any issues

  • @rossbatterbury6658

    @rossbatterbury6658

    5 жыл бұрын

    J-Sonnic Hydrostatic Head is the measure of how water resistant your tent material is. It measures how tall a column of water the fabric can hold before water starts to seep through the weave. A Hydrostatic Head of 5000mm means that a tent fabric could hold a column of water that is 5000mm tall. 5000mm of water exerts more pressure on the fabric than a 3000mm of water, so a more accurate description of Hydrostatic Head is the measure of water pressure equivalent to a column of water that is 5000mm tall. The higher the Hydrostatic Head value, the more water resistant a fabric is, and the more water pressure it can withstand before it leaks. What’s a good Hydrostatic Head value for a tent? Obviously the larger the number the better - but that’s not the whole story when it comes to how dry your tent will be. A tent made from 3000mm HH (Hydrostatic Head) can keep you perfectly dry for most camping in the UK. You could buy a tent that has 10,000mm HH though but still get wet. That’s because Hydrostatic Head is only one factor in a tent’s design. The seams where the tent fabric has been stitched together need to be good. That means double stitching for strength, and taped over and sealed so that no water can enter via the stitching holes or between the two sheets of fabric. Zips should also have protection. A good tent will often cover over the zips so that water keeps way from them. Some tents even come with a few zip covers, and you can also get tents where the doors are protected with a small porch or ‘storm entrance’ as it is sometimes called. Any entry point to the tent is a weak point in the waterproofing, but a good design around the doors can really help with keeping the tent interior dry. Tents may come with a waterproof and UV coating, in addition to the Hydrostatic Head of the material. The additional waterproof coating will help water bead off your tent. The UV coating will protect the polyester based fabric from degrading in the sun, reducing both the loss of colour and degradation of the waterproofing. UV and waterproof coatings can deteriorate over time and get damaged. Oils and even simple washing up liquid (and yes, kids blowing bubbles) could damage the coating. You can get waterproofing sprays as well as seam sealers to repair patches yourself.

    Yeah. I know what hydrostatic head means. I'm saying unless you're really unlucky this will be fine. It's not for a week session in winter, it's for three season overnighters. And it's price point makes that pretty clear.
