Hello bro I'm also located in Hertfordshire, I would highly recommend manor farm fisheries, the have multiple Lakes on the complex, as you said your relatively new I would highly recommend becks lake or damsel, heavily stocked with carp to 30. Have done many 60hour sessions there even, worth having a Google :)
been following carl and alex since the very start, so amazing to see how far theyve come, couldnt have happened to better people.
Good to see you two fishing together again, and catching.
Another cracking winter carp vid lads 💯👍🏴
One of my favourite lakes around, and the beautiful wooden carving dotted around

Yes fishing for winter carp is very rewarding but only problem is cold temperature. My hands literaly freeze after 2h of pole fishing for roach. Tight lines!
How good is it to see your friend Ryan been so positive and helpful with your channel(business) instead of been all jealous etc like most friends generally seem to get when you have any success. Quality pal

Many years ago it was very cold in winter, but I wanted to fish. It was so cold half the lake was frozen 😫. My first carp caught was a lovely common I was so surprised how hard it fought. I was very quick landing, unhooking, and getting ready to return the fish( it was 18lb something) I don't take pictures of fish under 20lb now I've had my fair share of doubles. When Reviving the common it wasn't doing so well, I tried and tried to the point my hands were about to drop of frozen, the fish didn't make it. It was the first fish that died on me in all the years I've been fishing, I was gutted I felt sick, what a horrible feeling. I buried the fish and later rang the bailiff telling him where the fish was so they could check it out, you never know it could be something else. I was still in shock and ran back though what happened, I knew I'd done nothing wrong it was the fishes time, old timer, or sick. It took me ages to get my mo-jo back, what it did do, it changed my procedure fishing in winter, once I have caught the fish and have it in the landing net if the fish shows any sign of being to tired I unhook it in the landing net, i revive it there and let the fish go. Winter fishing is hard and you do need to change a few things.
Just in time for spring 😂😂

Nice one mate...Just a quick question for winter fishing..there is quite lot of splashing around in my usual spot (where i fish) but the fish are'nt biting. Any suggestion from your end on the feeding time.
If you are ever down Colchester/Clacton way I'll take you to a nice lake
In winter it’s all about the bites, size doesn’t matter. Keep warm, have fun and pick the right venue. You’ll have an awesome day out guaranteed!

Did you need to lead around to check the bottom and depth Bennie casting across?
Could you please tell us about some possible lakes in the UK that you would recommend? I've been carp fishing for about a year now at my local lake and I don't know where to go just to catch a fish, as I've never caught one.
Yo, any chance of a video to give us tips of how to fish as the summer ends before winter approaches?

I’m not going to get round to sorting out a summer carping video this year I’m afraid! I’ve had too much other stuff on. I’ll try and cover it next year :)
Amazing video - Please could you show us the stem you have on the lead? I like how far it sticks up out of the PVA Bag.

Hi Harrison! That is a Korda 'Solid Bag Tail Rubber' they push over an inline lead stem and make it easy to make bags around! :)

Holding the rod instead of putting it down really helps year round.then you don't even need a goofy bite detector

Thank you! I use Photoshop to 'cut' me out with the 'polygonal lasso tool' and then blur the background on a separate layer, then add the text :) - there are YT tutorials for this. But if you haven't got access to photoshop yet, try a free/cheap image manipulator app or program. I used to use Gimp :)
I am always wondering how are you casting so accurate? U should do a video about good casting technique and how to cast more accurate. Nice video tho🔥

Hi Alfie! :)
I am getting a size 4000 reel for carp fishing do you think 12lb mono be best or 15 lb for overall carp?
@fishingtutorials
7 ай бұрын
I reckon 12lb will be a perfect choice, unless your fishing somewhere with lots of weed and snags, then 15lb will be better.
What reels are you using Carl?
@fishingtutorials
2 жыл бұрын
Daiwa :)
I just started using solid PVA bags with bread crumbs in them, but it always floats on top no matter how many holes I poke in it. is it ok if it floats as long as the bait gets down there eventually? ( I am using a 1-ounce lead by the way.)
@fishingtutorials
2 жыл бұрын
Hi William, I tend to use pellet which I find decent, also I sometimes use crushed boilies :) If you want to keep using bread however, you could try using a slightly larger lead. hope that helps. Let me know how you do :)
@williamstull1471
2 жыл бұрын
@@fishingtutorials ok thanks. it is kind of hard for me to find pellets and boilies. I'm in the US so I tend to go for baits that I can get easily. but yeah I will try that!
