Carp Fishing - A Carpy Connection - AUTUMN SESSIONS 4 - ORCHID LAKES.
Welcome back to the vlog. You join me on 48 hour session on Orchid lakes in Oxford. The nights are getting shorter and the fish are starting to slow down as the weather turns colder. This is my first time at Orchid so it was a blank page for me. Fishing had been slow on the lead up to my visit with little to no fish coming out. I give zigs a good go but this proved unsuccessful so i switch to the good old hinge stiff rig with Baitworks Scent for hell pop ups for the remainder of my session.
I have created "A Carpy Connection" in the hope of bringing some quality, carpy content for you to watch. Bringing together my love of photography, videography and my passion for carp angling and putting all together for you to enjoy. In my vlogs i try to offer some carp fishing tips and techniques, fishing photography carp fishing rigs, and a few fish along the way.

Another excellent blank, lol. Fished there a few times many years ago a wonderful lake and you did it proud. Witnessed a thirty caught there on a single pineapple pop up in January. Cant wait for your next one.

Hi Simon. Thanks for your comment. I also follow your vlogs too. Yes the lake did look lovely. There was a really nice frost when i got there which created some nice images for me. Its a shame i didn't catch but i will definitely be going back again in the new year.

A Carpy Connection I use a canon 800d but thinking of upgrading to Sony soon as I’ve had my current camera for a couple of years. What about you mate?

My main camera is a Nikon D850 with a free world 5.5" monitor. I also use a D5600 and my mate 20 pro phone. The Nikon is a good camera but auto focus is terrible so I have to manually focus everything. Im thinking about getting a Canon mc50 or a d70 just for the vloggy talky stuff.
Good stuff mate looks a lovely lake I need one of them winter skins for my tempest

Cheers Mark. It is mate. You should give it a look sometime. The wrap is a god send mate. No condensation at all inside the bivvy. Hard to get hold of now I think. I will be using mine alot more now. 😁👍🎣🎣

Cheers mate. Thanks for your comment. I do struggle for stuff to talk about on occasion. Still not 100% comfortable in front of the camera. I will take your comment on board and give a bit more of an insight into my gear ect. I'm using Harrison Torrix 12ft.6 Te specials. 3. 25lb tc. Lovely rods. 😁👍🎣🎣
