Carousel Ride at Chattanooga Zoo
Join the Highway Ghost for a ride on the carousel at the Chattanooga Zoo. After a long day of filming tons of amazing animals and seeing all the zoo had to offer, I took a ride back in time on their cool little indoor carousel.

Hey there. Yeah this place was great. I have a whole other full length zoo tour from this visit. It's still in the works and editing. The video should be out soon. Hope all's been well. HG

And you rode it... 😀 The dragon is one of my favorite unique animals to ride on a carousel 🥰 The carousel at Dollywood in Pigeon Forge has a dragon on it 😉 Their dragon is just like the one on this carousel, just green instead of blue.

Glad you enjoyed the ride. Dragons are a rare treat these days. Creep it real and stay tuned for more strange travels.
The old carousel that used to be at this zoo looked alot better, because it had many zoo animals on it. This new one has too many horses and not enough menagerie animals.

Hello there, this is the Highway Ghost speaking. I wanted to say hello and thanks for checking out the video and for the comment. I keep hearing about the previous carousel and wish I'd had the chance to seen it and experience the whole art of the ride. I heard it was more vintage style. There's another really old 1800s wooden carousel in Coolidge Park in Chattanooga that sounds very similar to what you're describing. I wonder if that was the one from the zoo? I plan to make a video there sometime when I'm out that way again. I just did a night time video in Atlanta, GA at the Sky View Ferris Wheel that's 20 stories high. What a unnerving ride and video that turned out to be. Hope you get a chance to check that one out as well and my other weird and strange adventures. Hope you join the ride for updates on all my latest videos. Anyway, have a safe and fun summer and thanks for stopping by the Highway Ghost channel. HG
Nice! Maybe the Chattanooga Zoo should get a bigger endangered species carousel from Chance Rides with more animals like lions, tigers, pandas, elephants, giraffes, and other animals!

That would be very cool to check out for sure. This was a fun day nonetheless. I've got a full tour video from my visit that's set for release, so I hope you enjoy that one as well. Thanks again for watching the Highway Ghost.
Me and my girlfriend went on that in December it was fun

I plan on doing a video at the 1800s carousel in Chattanooga, but I'm holding off due to massive crowds of tourist right now. I got lucky on a rainy afternoon at the zoo and had no one around. It was like being at an abandoned theme park and I was the only guest there. Very cool stuff. I don't know if you've seen one of my latest videos, but I just visited an amazing steampunk/folk art display in the Atlanta, GA area known as the Mechanical Riverfront Kingdom. It was a fun and bizarre experience and I think you'd enjoy that video as well. Stay cool cat. HG
What happened to the old Endangered Species carousel that was at the Chattanooga Zoo?

Hello there, Highway Ghost speaking. Thanks for checking out the channel and about the carousel, I have no clue about it. This was my first visit there and next time I'm out there I'll ask. Hope you enjoyed the video and join the ride for updates on my latest strange travels. Thanks for watching the Highway Ghost.
Did they replace the entire carousel? I carved one of the two horses

Hello there, this is the Highway Ghost speaking. I just wanted to say thanks for checking out the video and about your question, I'm not sure at all about the carousel? I heard there was one prior to this one, but other than that I haven't a clue. Either way it was a fun experience and it was cool that you worked on carving those horses. Wood carving is special art and I've always loved it for the time and craft of that talent it takes to create art from wood and stone. Thanks for the comment and feel free to join the channel for updates on all my weird and wonderful strange travels. HG

I visited this carousel back in July - one of the ride-ops said that the hand-carved one was sent for repairs but never returned. Thus, they've gotten the 28ft-diameter Chance
