Carolina Skiff 238 DLV Review with the Mercury Command Thrust! Amazing speed to weight/HP ratio!
Ойын-сауық
This boat has a lot of features crammed into a sweet package for your money, This is not the fastest boat on the water or the best riding but for your money it's a fishing machine and it won't break the bank to run! Also look up the videos of this 115 command thrust smoking the 125 optimax it's pretty crazy!

thanks for the video and the positive view. I see too many CS bashing videos. I have had mine 9 months now and I've loved every minute of it.
Great video very clear details my friend
Great content
Good review, impressive boat. Go gators!
Go Gators!
What prop size are you running?
I have a 238dlv and a brand new 115sho Yamaha to put in it and am thinking about trading the 115 and getting a reg 150 Yamaha but I’m not sure cause they say the 115sho puts out 126hp so it might be enough if I could hit 45 then I’d be happy

If you're running the 115 I think you should try a 19x15 3 blade prop if your running a light load and a 17x15 3 blade if you're running a little heavier. We were running a 19x15-1/4" 3 blade but the command thrust has a 2.38:1 gear ratio and the sho has a 2.15:1 gear. Let me know what works for you but if that 115 sho has the power you should be able to touch 45 with the 19

@@getthenettv6093 the lower unit won’t fit anything over 14 dia, I think you have your dia and pitch mixed up when you say a prop size it’s always the dia first and then pitch a prop with so if you were saying a 15-19 that’s a giant prop that would go on a v6 or v8 outboard motor and with that large of a dia prop would be called a pusher prop something that would go on a large displacement boat or a pontoon boat, the proper size for a normal v4 outboard on a normal boat would be in the 13in diameter prop range, 13 131/4 13/ 3/4 ect and possibly a 14 but then your getting into a pusher prop size that will start looking more like a fan blade then a prop
What’s max motor

Agreed, if the boat was rated for a 150 it should have a 150 4 stroke command thrust Mercury. Power is safety on the water in a lot of instances
Not enough motor for that boat in my opinion id go with a 250 its 8 feet wide

It’s only rated for a 150 max
