I wanted an easy day of fishing and Mother Nature supported that decision by placing a school of Glass Minnows and Pilchards right at the launch. Then made the current outgoing which set-up a nice close channel right by the bridge. With those two components I knew it was going to be an easy day.

  • @CrazyTaxiDasher

Love the channel.I had a thought while watching this, if you are chumming, all of the bait you are chumming with is sinking at a certain speed. When you have a weighted hook, your bait starts falling and acting much differently than your chum, and your bait can stick out like a sore thumb. This can be a good or bad thing depending on the scenario like if the big fish are deeper and you want to get the bait down to them before the little guys get it.However, if the seem to be hesitant, a quick switch to a smaller thin wire hook to be the ticket so that it doesn't affect the action or sink rate of you bait. I find this especially useful when chumming finicky snapper. Again love the content. Much love.

Wrong net size for those baits lol. Mirco or small tarpon are pretty guaranteed in key largo to Islamorada. Let’s have a one day fishing tournament( live streamed) for 1k or 2k a boat. 1st 🥇 takes the pot. You can pick the species the date and location also 🤷‍♂️. If you turn it down maybe 1 of your viewers wants to take your spot. No I’m not a guide in the keys. You can reach me at bobhewes21 or anthonyhewes21 on intragram. This is 💯.

I'm in the Great Lakes and hope to do more kayak fishing for Lake Trout and Walley. Do you have any recommendations on areas to vacation for this type of fishing? Hotels, entry points, equip. rental, and such. Thanks! New sub here.

when you just get to many glass minnows in your net, pinch and shake first to get as many as you can then, set it outside for a day or two, then hang it up and pressure wash it with a hose and nozzle, they just wash out after about a day. then put about a cup of hair conditioner in a five gallon bucket mix well. let sit over night, take out in morning, wash out good and hang it to dry. this will make your net much easier to shake out unwanted bait next time.

One question, but im sure inquiring minds would like to know.. whats the best catches here for people that dont normally like seafood (but can eat non "fishy" tasting fish, like halibut")? personally i surfed for many years, but started to dislike seafood due to swollwing gallons of sea water and the taste just started to blend into everything minus white fish like halibut and shrimp, lobster, cod ect ect...? any reply is awesome, subbed, and liked. i enjoy channels like this as it brings back my love for the ocean, but i really wish i could eat more from the bounty the ocean provides (its delicious in my mind, but the sea water salty taste kills me, but im still trying to figure out why my tastebuds betray me.)....p.s i love fishing, and cooking what you take, same as hunting..but i feel like i am missing out completely on sea foods....
