That hook set with the fish coming at you is something I never thought about. I feel like that's a precious nugget of info.. 👍

Hey brother, I understood you. Thanks you. I fish carolina rigs from split shot to 3/4. I've always got one tied on. I put all kinds of stuff on the back there too. Here's a tip. Try to keep in mind how much light there is at the depth you fish and adjust color appropriately. One year I caught Thanksgiving dinner with a C rig! Cold Mississippi river day.

The biggest fish I’ve caught on Carolina Rigs didn’t have a bead rigged up! I caught my PB 9lbs 13oz on a Carolina rigged midsize brush hog!

What makes me not use this rig much is unless you have a dedicated rod for it then if you need to change to another technique then it’s a pain having to re rig everything but it is a very effective technique for sure!

Buy pre made Carolina weight rigs like 6th sense has then tie leader and hook to that. Keep that ready and all you have to do is tie on like you're tying another lure on.

@@blind_eye_fishing one of the good things about the c rig is they don’t feel the weight when the pick up the bait and begin to swim off. With those rigs you don’t get that

@@Basscater81 actually with those pre rigged rigs and a good quality hook they hook themselves often. And most the time you'll feel them before the pull the rig, the weight slips inside the wire rig a little it's not solid 😂. I can tell you haven't fished the pre rigged style I mentioned lol all good though.

Tyler, I've been watching your videos for a good while now and you give a lot of great advice. Sometimes you will be explaining something and you seem to either experience some level of doubt as to your clarity of explanation or you seem to have a little difficulty in the specific details of the explanation and it seems to bother you. First of all, you give really great explanations. Just wanted to clarify that specifically. Secondly, I have a quick suggestion for you. How about utilizing a white board for some of those explanations that may be a bit more intricate and detail oriented? It's been proven over time that most guys are visual learners and since most anglers are guys, maybe a way to convey your explanations more clearly would be through the use of a white board (dry erase board). I'm not knocking your current methods of explanations at all and I am very grateful for everything that you put out on both of your channels. Just a humble suggestion from someone who is looking to help you be more comfortable and clear with your explanations. Not Tyler but I have some Ark Snipers and I really like them. I have over 40 outfits in many brands and I’d rank them in the very best of my rods. But your comparing a $60 rod to a $200 rod. I’m not sure about their cheaper rods.

I have switched to almost all ark rods. Tharp series and invoker pro. Super sensitive and the actions are spot on. I WORK my rods and they keep on asking for more

I use braid to mono. I use lead. The braid makes up for difference between the feel of tungsten. The mono gives a bit of float to the bait so the medium hook doesn't sink as fast.

I hate dragging those things around but they catch fish

I fished Caroline rigs on a mh fast rod for years and never had a hookup issue or fighting them to the boat issue. You dont need a special setup to throw it successfully. Its also not really a finesse as you can fish them fast or slow and still have catches. I nornally use 15lb line and medium to heavh wire hooks lol. To me this is all opinions not facts. Have a good one though.

Glass beads. I like 2 between the knot and weight but 1 is fine. I only fish it deep so I like the little sound it makes, idk if it actually helps attract fish. Bobber stop if you want it silent. There are tons of ways to modify the rig to your preference.

$54 bucks for a sun shirt, how about you drop the "free" t shirt and price the sun shirt lower.
