Charlotte’s Brooklyn neighborhood was once the largest black community in the Carolinas but in the 1960s the residents were forced out and it was demolished for an urban renewal project.

    This happens all over America inside Black communities, and the bad thing about it is the same people that Black people voted for were the same white people who erased their neighborhood 😢😢

    Lived there when born. Griertown will be erased as a Black community, as has Cherry and other places.
