This video was shot at a Civil War Living History event in Morganton, NC - May 2005.

    0:37-1:17 Marsch des Yorkschen Korps/Marsch für die Böhmische Landwehr (March of the York Corps.)( General York was a German General. He Fought against Napoleon the First during the War of 1813-1814.

    Alas, can't really replicate the Southern soldier. Average height around 5'8" and weighed 130 pounds. They became famished due to poor diet and many weighed around 100 pounds. Modern men are just too big to really portray those olden soldiers.

    My brother and I have reenacted both Revolutionary War and Civil War. We played in a fife and drum core for about 6 years. We are both 6' tall and 140lbs...we fit your build specs and happy to say our group was one of the more authentic :)

    By the second year of the war the Stars and Bars were rarely carried. The regimental battle flags of Saint Andrew's cross had been issued, the square battleflag. When Lee took over after Seven Pines, he wanted everyone to carry the same flag. I know that some Nort Carolina regiments refused to put aside their state flags. The 47th NC, for example.

    isn't a musican considered a noncombatant? Even back in the civil war, there were regulations against harming noncombatants such as doctors and such.

    guywith3 No. A musician is still a soldier even though he's not armed because he is subject to military law. If a musician is told to pick up a musket he must.

    0:38 Hitler liked that song. It was played in Nazi germany throught out his rallys. Although it sounded much better coming from a 20th century band (even though it was nazis) because they had better and updated instruments.

    I have a couple of speculations as to why they did that. A. Too many people would either be offended or think it was a secessionist movement or B. They want to imply that this is U.S. history, as in the history of America as a unified nation
