I remember writing a fan letter to Carol Burnett in a teen magazine. She answered it and I was the star for a day in my elementary school when the magazine published the letter. This is one of my favorite childhood memories. Here I am feeling old at 60, while Carol is absolutely radiant at 91. Thank you for all the laughter and happy memories, Carol!

I have a very similar story from my 9th grade year of junior high school. I was fortunate enough to then meet Carol in later years when she was once again performing on Broadway in "Moon Over Buffalo." She's just a very remarkable person.

I love this woman. She deserves everything. But anyone who follows pop culture even the slightest has heard Carol tell these same stories of her life over and over and over and over and over. It's a real testament to her talent because she sells the story every time but boy she must be exhausted by having to talk about her self relentlessly. They ask her the same questions repeatedly. I have no bloody clue who Garry Moore is but I definitely know Garry Moore . You know what I mean?
