Carnegie Mellon University Africa is a Regional Centre of Excellence in ICT located at the Innovation City - Kigali, Rwanda. Born out of a partnership between Carnegie Mellon University and the Government of Rwanda, CMU-Africa exists to educate and empower the next generation of African leaders and innovators by delivering a world-class educational experience. Our mission is to produce creative and technically strong engineers, who have been trained in the African context, and prepared to make a transformative impact in their communities and the world.
We are currently offer master’s programs in IT, Engineering Artificial Intelligence and Electrical and Computer Engineering that integrate research, innovation and entrepreneurship. The CMU-Africa community is diverse with over 25 nationalities represented.
