Roman defended on smackdown multiple times, though it was early on so been a while for sure lol they dropped the ball after he unified the belts, they should have had him on both shows but instead they cut his screen time down to peanuts which is odd considering most of those events he would wrestle in the dark match so why keep him off air? WWE stupidity lol

4 minutes and 48 seconds for the champ to barely do anything. Miss moves. Get beat up most of the match but win because he landed a Cody cutter and the Crossroads. Classic trash WWE matches. 😂

Bro, what happened at 4:14. It looked like a glitch in WWE video game, like they meant to bounce off the side ropes and collide, but they end up landing awkwardly in the ring. Cody looked like he also mighta hurt his shoulder in the process.

Looking back at it I feel like Carmelo was going to do a springboard and Cody was going to catch him with a Cody cutter in mid air. Honestly that would’ve been one of the craziest things I’d ever seen had they pulled it off. I think Cody is just a little too slow with doing the Cody cutter

Can can really see in Hayes face at the end of the match how much this match meant to him and maybe his uncertainty if it went well. Which is perfectly fine, he just came from developmental to the main roaster and is nervous, i'd be too, so it's good to see Cody give him a pep talk at the end or advice or whatever he said. Also I swear at 4:13 he asked Hayes "You alright?"

Hope Cody didn't legitimately injure his shoulder.

It was supposed to be the springboard clothesline and the Cody Cutter both missing but it was a terrible spot to call in general. Cody is not Ricochet, Logan Paul or athletic at all and should not even be doing the Oscutter. The Disaster Kick is as good as it gets for him.

You can tell because Carmelo immediately gets up and grabs Cody instead of selling that they both went for the same move and got injured. Hopefully he’s alright and just working the injury, but that spot definitely wasn’t planned to go down like that.

The drama of this match was like a Stardom match. I love stardom!

As good as Carmello Hayes is, it definitely looks like he fired off too early with that springboard. I hope Cody didn't legitimately get injured from this.

Melo Hayes reminds me of Dolph Ziggler. Excellent addition. Cody Rhodes reminds me of Kurt Angle. Great match.

I am sure he said your day is coming and said you have my respect. Your the future something encouraging. Melo is a phenomenal generational talent and will hold the world title in the next few years.

Carmelo looks good. Happy for dude. Back on the main roster. It was nice to see the NXT superstars Cheering on Carmelo. Some of those moves are kinda risky. Reminds me when Melo wrestled Theory And the Referee had to stop the match. 💪🏽

Carmelo lookin like he wants to start a program XD. Honestly I hope they give Mello his opportunity to shine more with established talent. Thats what matters with him is to elevate himself while also giving that respect to the veterans.
