Glad to see Jack stand up for himself regarding Swerve. Having Swerve not open the show had no impact on my enjoyment of the match (or the show). Yes, Kyle Fletcher takes a lot of pins. He's still up and coming but he's tied to Osprey and it's going to pay off sooner than later. He always puts on bangers and he made Swerve look great. As far as the "Eliminator Match" stuff. Look, it's just an AEW thing. Just like fighting outside the ring and the refs not doing much. It's just their style and people can either deal with it or move on. People jumping to conclusions or acting like this makes the champ look less-than is grasping at straws for something to complain about. It's just wrestling for cryin' out loud. Just enjoy the show. As far as the rest, people complain that AEW doesn't tell enough stories but they're making strides. They did a great job explaining Willow's history with Mercedes and the women are getting more screen time every week. I'm just sad I couldn't hear what Serena Deeb was saying. She's a beast and I'm looking forward to seeing more of her.

I was able to make out what Serena Deeb said but admittedly had to listen close. I've really been enjoying most of what AEW has done this year. Like any show, there are some things to love, somethings to not like as much. But overall a great direction.

The problem with Swerve's next opponent is everyone who is hot right now is holding gold and Swerve has spent the last several months feuding with Hangman and Joe so he hasn't really interacted with anyone else. I do NOT want to see more Hangman or Joe either. Swerve needs a NEW feud. I would say Takeshita, but he's been eating losses lately too and it looks like Hobbs may be legit injured. If they had more time I would love to see Starks, but he would need to build something first. I could see them using Jack Perry, but after all they are doing with him a loss would kill his momentum. Swerve's feud with Hangman/Joe was so hot it's going to be hard to top.

Yeah, it's a very tough spot. I think in the end, it will be sort of like Cody vs AJ, where we all know Cody is winning the match, but you need to have someone be the first opponent. I'm not expecting a huge name as the first challenger or someone who I think can win, but I do think it will end up being someone who can put on a great match.

Jimmy. You talk of Toni's face cheering. To Make someone go "Hmmmm". Will TK go "Hmmmm"?

AEW just keeps getting more and more cringe. What I don't get is why do they keep pushing The Young Bucks when they consistently draw the lowest segments on the show.

I am so surprised that you guys did not do an hour on why the CEO gets a title shot! Especially since they just brought back rankings and she has not had a match. Ridiculous!

I think the rankings were sort of implied to only be used when it can further something and not as a hard rule. Kind of like the WWE Draft. Sure people are supposed to be only on one brand, but they do go back and forth. I get where your coming from, but that's why I didn't really feel like it was worth discussing. 🤷‍♂

I think the rankings thing was more of a Samoa Joe mandate for facing him. I’m okay with Mercedes getting a shot as she’s a big deal (figuratively and monetarily). Sort of like Okada getting a shot at the Continental title. AEW does like to play loosely with stuff like this. I just chalk it up to AEW being AEW. 🤷

To be fair, the rankings system is mostly used for the main World Title and the Women's World Title. Not just anybody should get those championship opportunities. But the fact that at times, random people get TBS and TNT championship matches shows that it's not as prestigious as the main World Titles

I was shocked to see TK take that bump. For a guy who vowed to not be a on screen character, he really wants to one up HHH and Nick Khan so bad.. I think he did tonight, but how they play this whole storyline out will be something to see thru this spring and summer

I don't think I'd go so far as to say he's a 'character' just because of one segment. That may change, obviously, but for now, I think his lack of being on TV made this segment hit more. For now, it might be a one time thing though. We'll have to see.
