I recall renting Carlito's Way when I was young and thinking it was a pefect movie at the time. I haven't seen it since. It was so good I just savored the experience. I recently picked it up on 4k and I'm looking forward to watching it again.

As J-Lo might say, "don't be fooled by the rocks that I got, I'm still Benny from the Bronx". Such an incredible film.

That pool scene in Carlitos Way and the chainsaw scene from Scarface are so identical in terms of tenseness, I love it. Yeah, my mom showed me Scarface and Carlito's Way when I was a teenager and loved them both ever since. Both have that GTA Vice City vibe and that videoame is a big part of my childhood.

I own the original 4k release of carlito's way, it looks absolutely gorgeous so i probably wont be picking this up but carlito's way is one of my absolute favorite films ever. My favorite films of his are dressed to kill, scarface, body double, carrie and his most underrated are casualities of war and blow out with travolta. if you havent seen those their both fantastic!

It's also important to note that the Arrow is (probably) going to have better compression than the Universal 4K. Arrow compression is going to be better than the compression on a studio label basically 99/100 times.

I don’t want to import so I’m hoping Arrow (or whoever) will release Blow Out and Dressed to Kill on 4K in the UK

This came out during a time of gangster films flooding theaters. It was overlooked. Released at a bad time for sure. It's a brillant film. Thanks MLM.

My favorite mafia movie is Scarface but in second place is Carlito's Way and both star Pacino. Good review and cool video Ken!👉😃👈

I remember the first time that I watched Carlito's Way when it came out on laserdisc, it quickly became one of my absolute favorite movies. Being such a fan of this film, I actually didn't mind when someone I knew had nicknamed me Carlito! Anyway, great review, I already have this on preorder and can't wait to check it out, as I've been in the mood to see it again.

Finding out this is a Brian De Palma makes so much sense why I loved this movie when I saw it years ago. Scarface is one of my favorite movies ever and I love Carrie a lot, I'll definitely pick this.

Brian De Palma is a phenomenal director, all his movies have a certain flair and addictive style which are unique to him. I'd also recommend you to watch: 1) Blow Out (his best film ever) 2) Carrie 3) Sisters 4) Casualties of War 5) The Untouchables

Awesome review Ken! Yeah I've become a big De Palma fan myself (I even just did a top 10 list of his films), and I can't wait to get this one from Arrow. I saw Carlito's Way in the theaters when it first came out and loved it... I was on a huge Al Pacino kick for a number of years back then (he used to be my all-time favorite actor). For me, his best roles were Scarface and Scent of a Woman (followed closely by Dog Day Afternoon). But Carlito's Way is up there too!

I agree 100% all the way around. This is one of my favorite films . Arrow is the king. This is a movie that is an exception. A must double dip if you love this movie.

I've always sort of thought of Carlito's way as Goodfella's younger cousin. Definitely an underrated classic and am excited this is finally getting the big box treatment it deserves.

i already have the UK set from universal theres not enough to justify a double dip,the untouchables is my favorite de palma film also there's a documentary movie called de palma were he talks about his whole Career you might want to check out

I double dipped because it's one of my favorite movies. If it's not one of your favorites then I would pass if I were you.

Al Pacino is Arguably the greatest actor of our times. Robert De Niro and Pacino are in a different league to everyone else. Sean Penn is great in this movie. Ive not seen this for a while Ken. I’ve got the Arrow exclusive artwork for this one back home in the Uk. Should be waiting for me to watch when I get home from working here in the states. I recommend A Bronx tale for anyone who likes these type of films.

Baloney, those guys are overhyped. These actors are better: Julius Harris, Fred Williamson, Richard Roundtree, Denzel Washington, Laurence Fishburne, Wesley Snipes, Morgan Freeman, Idris Elba, Don Cheadle, Terrance Howard, Samuel L. Jackson

Just got Shout Factory’s Natural Born Killers 4K

Brian DePalma also killed it with Mission Impossible 1. it’s my favorite MI movie by a mile. idk if you’ve seen it but highly recommend it

I'm ok with the universal 4k ultra HD Blu-ray combo pack of Carlito's way in my opinion, i don't need the Arrow video copy of the movie.

I honestly can't believe you praised Leguizamo's performance and yet got his character Benny BLANCO'S name wrong. "I'm Benny Blanco from the Bronx" is a line nearly as classic as "Say hello to my little friend." I've never heard anyone get that wrong, much less a movie reviewer.

Don't need those special features. I almost never watch them. Just going to buy the cheapest version. The box doesn't interest me neater.

I only watched scarface once and that was a few years ago. With how much it was put on a pedestal, I thought it was absolutely junk. My carlitos set just got delivered today and I haven't seen it myself. Hoping it's good!

Casualties of War was not a very good one from DePalma. Carlito's Way is much better than Scarface.
