    Lots of good info! I recently added the Carli Pintop system to my 2020 PowerWagon. I added the Carli radius arms and the upper steering stabilizer as options. I HIGHLY recommend the radius arms. I offroad quite a bit and really push my truck. 2 days ago, I turned onto a road and landed in a 4' ditch with the passenger front and back tire. I was amazed at the articulation and the ability of the system to keep the tires on the ground and get the truck out of the situation. It's expensive, sure. It's that one upgrade that pays off every single mile you drive.

    Pineapple does not belong on Pizza, I do like it in some drinks though. I also do not like Dodge hence getting rid of my 2016 1 ton for a 2018 Ford F350. I installed the Pintop 2.5 leveling kit and I have to say that first of all the Kings Shocks are monsters. I love this setup. It rides absolutely wonderful on the road (better than stock, unbelievable but yes) and it really shines off road. I haven't gotten the rear leaf setup yet and not sure I will. Great Video. Thanks. Just one question; I've been looking at the AEV products as well for the Ram HD. AEV goes into detail about how they maintain stock angles with their lift/suspension systems. Do the Carli products maintain that stock angle as well?

  • @CJCOffRoad

    @CJCOffRoad

    5 жыл бұрын

    Stock geometry is absolutely maintained with Carli products. For hard off-road driving, the Carli systems are a superior product. The AEV suspension is good, but can't come close to the performance of a Pintop 2.5 or Dominator system from Carli. Feel free to call the shop and we'll be happy to walk you through everything!

    I have a 2.5” lift for a 2016 F250 question… is there any difference in body sway on turns between stock vs commuter vs back country? Example if I take a turn doing 50mph, where I am used to the stock driving characteristics, will a commuter feel the same, more planted, or feel like it’s going to tip over? And the same question for a back country over stock and commuter. Thanks!

    A lot of truck guys don't know the difference between a "lift kit" and a "Performance Suspension kit"...so a good little video... I own a 18' Raptor but think the Carli systems are well engineered and they do their R&D on the shock valving and valving is king for performance. I've recommended Carli to anybody with a 2500/3500 Dodge or Ford who asks me "What lift kit is best?" .....

    I enjoyed the Q&A video related to Carli suspension packages. I've been looking at the Carli suspension for quite a few years now... |I have the 3rd generation 2007 Mega Cab with 5.9 cummins turbo diesel. I need to do both the Suspension upgrades and body work. I don't think I'd look anywhere else for the suspension parts then from Carli. I would consider swapping out the 3.73 gears for something like 4.10 or more to accomodate a 35 or 37 inch time height. In Canada it's challenging to find body parts and given there were more Mega Cabs in the USA then Canada I was wondering if the body parts are easier to source from the USA...? I'm talking the front fenders, rear box and panels for the rear quarters or possible a cab in great shape with no rust....? Also, the Mrs. like's pineapple on pizza. For me it's not that important. But sometimes we do things to keep the Mrs happy. Any comments would be appreciated.

  • @CJCOffRoad

    @CJCOffRoad

    5 жыл бұрын

    Since a lot of the body parts are shared across the Dodge Ram platform of trucks, it isn't too hard to find body parts in salvage yards. Google will be your best friend on that front.

    Very informative. So for overlanding and riding around with a rooftop tent on the bed of my 2015 cummins, it's recommended I go with a 2.5 pintop? I'm still confused on what to do in the rear...I have shocks and factory air assist. Do I go with upgraded kings inn the rear and leave the bags or do I go with kings and remove the bags for coils instead?

  • @CJCOffRoad

    @CJCOffRoad

    5 жыл бұрын

    Removing the factory air bags will leave you with a full time light on the dash. I would recommend getting the newer Carli Pintop leveling system, We also pair that setup with a slightly longer air ride rod sensor matching the air assist rear height to that of a standard coil 2500. This allows for a level ride height and excellent ride!

They used the same platform for the series, d90, 110 and range Rover classic. So it's not just a random kit. It would cover a huge list of Land Rover trucks. And I know it's out of the question but what about my 2006 GMC Sierra 2500hd with the lbz setup? I love pizza and pineapples but I will not eat both in the same bite. One question is why Carli designed cool over kits for the Superduty but not any Dogge/Ram platform. Rams need a coil over kit!

  • @CJCOffRoad

    @CJCOffRoad

    5 жыл бұрын

    The coil buckets on the older Fords can be removed via their rivets and a new mount tilted on. With the Rams the buckets are welded on. That makes it extremely difficult to index and mount a coilover mount for your average joe in their garage.

    79chevy350 any suggestions for the most comfortable option but still can run hard off-road? My bielstein 4” “lift” is ROUGH, Death Wobble again.... I knew Ram’s rode rough but I didn’t think buying a lifted truck would be this bad..... saving for Carli as we speak. Thanks in advance
