Also when I watch stuff from before about 1998 the game seems so much slower and there seemed to be more space/time for attackers, I know they are more protected now but idk, just looks slower and sloppier. The simulation and diving is absolutely horrendous in today's game no question. As you say just my opinion tho.

He indeed was the Wall that made Barca the team stood so strong on. Will never forget that second Barca goal in the 2-6 victory against Madrid in the Bernabeu. A perfect header by Puyol from a corner kick. Actually it's the opposite. Earlier, they'd get real money only if they won. So they were playing for money. In ESL, they'd get the money regardless of the result. So if they're playing for anything, it's pride. 🤷🏼‍♂️

People mention Ramos and while I'd have him in my team, I see him as a great (not extraordinary) defender who can win matches with his attacking abilities esp in set pieces.
