It is so great to hear all these people say such nice things about Carl. They have good memories of him.

Im 54 and went to my first concert at age 10. I have seen them over 60 times and have loved every show. Lead off song at my first concert was Carls Darlin....fav song ever since.

Carl seems like a very nice gentleman and his voice is like an angel, he is the Heart and Soul of the Beach Boys he held things together, he was like glue when things got out of hand!! ~ RIP~ Carl!! xx

Don't know how I can tell you how much you gave to me in this moment. Thank you this much for posting this. I miss sweet Carl, and I feel pain for Brian who is left alone with Mike Love.

@ewaters45 The thing to remember here is how generous Carl was to Mike Love, not how diminished (or not) an individual Mike Love is in himself-let Carl's generosity of spirit be the line here, never mind who might have made his and our world smaller-Carl made the world bigger.

to me-carl was the glue that held most of the beach boys together after brian quit touring the first time.after carl died and brian having become a solo artist a few years before?it is much clearer that the beach boys are fronted by mike love and bruce johnston

Because Mike has this holier than thou attitude. He was seen drinking before a concert, he was always suing Brian . It was MIKE LOVE who kept Brian from finishing smile, not the rest of the Beach Boys. Mike was so obnoxious he drove the man who wrote lyrics away . Brian dreaded going to the studio because Mike was so nastyto him. I think Mike wouldn't like it to be known that he went through a time where his behavior was so violent and uncontrolable I read thathe had to be
