The Beach Boys interview on Good Morning America in 1980. Please forgive the bad video quality. I thought it was an interesting find to post.

yeah, "sweet little lady" goes for Dennis from outset. What the heck was she thinking, that he'd just wake up and be coherent for her? BTW, love Dennis and the Wilson Bros. This was a raw look at them and it's astoundingly real. A little sad, but they were real people, not surfer mannequins as Capitol Records tried to keep them.

There was no drama with Al because he wasn't part of the family and so he's easily ignored. It's the station director who is telling Joan Lunden who to speak to and who to call up via her earpiece. Dennis shouldn't have been allowed to go on air like that (nor Brian really), but GMA would get more viewers if all of the BBs were on air, not just the more grounded ones.

She was also a co writer (and band member) of Carl Wilson solo album in the early 80s (I also think that her and Carl Wilson were an item around this time, but have no written confirmation). It's interesting how much '60s nostalgia there was already in 1980. It's like if people today were talking about what a crazy time it was back in 2005.

Because the ´60s was THE decade. And when you were in the ´80s you felt the ´60s like your father in music, or something like that, that the masters of music were there. Who would have thought that the ´80s was never beated the years after. I grew up in the ´80s and that is how it felt, as I told you.

Dennis was bombed, unfortunately, he was the real surfer, athletic one, handsome, sexiest and women crazed, I mean married 5X by the time he was 30 and dead at 39, this tragic but they all had such heart; Actually at least he's sitting up I mean there were times where I've seen my own family members out like Dennis. LOL, "Be My Baby" one of my favorite songs. How nice of Mike Love to answer the 20 year question explaining togetherness :) Funny when Jerry Schilling come on, Dennis in the background swaying and resting on his back

I know Bruce Johnston was was an important contribution to the band., but I was glad to see only the Origanals. What a life they all had. I know Brian will go someday soon perhaps, But he will be singing in heaven, "Wont cha come along with me"......u ah uuu.
