Great! I saw Caribou in Toronto recently at it was fantastic! The band was tight, and the energy level went through the roof when Dan Snaith joined in on drums (two drummers) on certain songs!

Pity, that they don't play that stuff anymore on concerts. The new stuff is a bit too dance-floory to me, I miss the old psychedelicpostrockmotorik...:/

can someone tell me what kind of music that is? guitars sound like surf rock, but more monotonous. its not krautrock, psychedelic rock or anything else (but it IS psychedelic). i am in desperate search of similar rock music. can anyone help me?

Yea, it is a real strange and lovely mixture between all those styles. Bands, that are quite close to this might be Tame Impala ("Jeremy's Storm" on Innerspeaker), Maserati (when Jerry Fuchs was still the drummer), Turing Machine (also with J.F.) and maybe you find some more when looking for the tag "Motorik"

@bucci777 Considering the Beatles stopped playing (in large part) because of the difficulty of reproducing their music live, I think Paul would be impressed as hell at how well these guys can recreate their sound without compromising musicianship. Incidentally, implying that playing along to looped sound is easier than doing it all live is a pretty big give away that you don't know anything about playing music. Kindly pound sand.

Unfortunately, this comment reveals two things right off the bat. One, you failed to even watch the video till the vocals started. Two, you have a rather limited conception & understanding of music in general. #1 can be easily remedied with a simple click of a button. #2 will likely take more exposure, an opening of the mind, and some sort of intellectual break-through.

No Paul McCartney wouldn't... It's electronic music with a shit load of effects. These guys can't really play at ALL!!!
