It's nice to listen to your career journey so far. Thanks for sharing. Is it possible to make an entire video telling how you were able to set up the HR department from scratch at your current role? I just got a job as the HR manager for a startup and I'm tasked with setting up the HR department from scratch. I only have about 2 years of HR experience prior to this role. Your help will be very much appreciated as I don't particularly know where to begin. (I'm grateful to God for the exponential growth I am experiencing though 😊). Thanks

I started my career in MBA-HR but due to some issues (which was my college fault) now I am pursuing PGDM - in HR. Now it's my career turning point cause our placement process is going on and now I think about my future career in HR those jobs are not given to me that kind of satisfaction so I am not enrolled myself into those jobs. Now I am searching for a good company from where I can learn more about HR and help them to grow with my skills and abilities. It's very hard to switch in a different path in our life but I believe in myself I can & I will. Thanks for sharing your experience It helps me a lot in my upcoming life.

Mam if I purely go into training executive or L&D profile would in future I need to know hr generalist works also. I also think of whether we have job opportunities in training L&D like in hr. But Sometimes I also felt that I need to face my fear of salary n compliance and become an expert. Should I switch to training or should I be in generalist? I am very tense and confused plz guide😭😭😭

Dear, its great that you already know what your fears are... now understand this, if you are a career oriented person then obv. your aim is to eventually become a HR Manager and then HR Head, to be on those levels, you need to have understanding of payroll and statutory compliance, you can't avoid them.. not that you will be doing hands-on work of payroll & compliance at that level, but you will have to take responsibility of decision making... so if you can overcome your fears now itself, that will be good.. and believe me, they are not as bad as they seem.. :) L&D also is a good domain, but ultimately if the goal is to be HR Head then please get exposure of every HR function.. Rest is obv. your choice, all the very best!!

Yeah dear, its totally okay to do Master(MMS) post bms, and what you are calling MBA, I guess you mean PGDM, all renowned colleges that people aspire to get in after CAT exam provide PGDM, not MBA... MBA degree is provided by normal universities and you do not really have to take CAT exam for that.... Whatever you choose is fine, as long as you are committed to learn the real skills of the job and not looking for an easy way to success... All the best!!

No dear, for a fresher it won't be much useful as most of the companies have a full time MBA criteria, plus you will not gain much knowledge in distance MBA, which is required to get you started on the job.

Dear, its funny that people think a company can pay so much salaries for doing rangolis.. anyways about the highest pay of HR... you can check any company's financial statements online, where they have to mandatory disclose the salaries of employees at director level, there you can yourself see, the HR directors are paid 2cr to 5cr.. or can be more depending on which company it is... and decide yourself can a head of rangoli department be paid that much... :)
