Great story and we're so Proud of you Eric! I'm almost 3 years clean myself and the toughest thing is dealing with life on life's terms. I lost my mother very recently, but the greatest gift I was able to give her was getting clean and showing her that I've turned my life around. Now we must carry them with us and live each day for them. I know your daughter would be extremely proud to see how far you've come!

The way he describes his children growing up makes me think of the show "Shameless" and he's Frank. Glad he got clean, hopefully he'll stay sober so his family has a happier story than the ending of that show.

The way he describes how ridiculous the addicts mentality can get by committing robbery’s two streets over from where u just stole a vehicle, or robbing a store your girl works at…… it describes what some of us were like to a “T”. I swear the addicts brain is Something that still shocks me and it has nothing to do with how intelligent the person is before coming into addiction….. it’s like the addicts brain transforms from what it was to being just like all other addicts brains. Smaller and hyper focused on the most ridiculous things. And I’m speaking from experience. So no judging from my end. GREAT INTERVIEW IAN!!!!!

I’m pretty sure he knows exactly what it is, but honestly for the past so many years now you don’t hear of anyone overdosing on anything except fentanyl, heroin, and back when people were eating oxys like candy. So him asking if you can OD on percs is a legit question. Ian had interviewed enough people to be well informed on addiction and overdosing. It just shows how the epidemic has evolved and gotten worse.
