    I save alot for stamping and fussy cutting! I also use them for masking straight lines, small die cutting, and lunch box notes! But saving for bookmarks is such a fantastic idea!! I will have to do that, especially with some of the kid's cards I make! Thank you so much for the idea and for commenting!!!

    You should score prior to cutting down the middle. That way you will have two card bases scored and cut ready to go in basically two simple steps! Thanks for sharing. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve found myself stumbled upon your video looking for some info - especially along the beginning and start of my cardmaking journey and adventure. So thanks again!

    Thank you so much for providing the base car sizing information. Can you tell me what is the paper called that people draw on, stamp or glue down embellishments/stickers to then apply that to the base (when they make layer cards). I want to make a card like that for my nephew’s birthday. I call them “chunky” cards because of all the layers added to the base. I try it but it seems to fail I don’ t know if that paper should be a certain size and if I layer it with a 1/4″, if that is correct or not?

    I use Michaels Recollection 100 lb cardstock. It’s nice and heavy, which is great for card bases. Anything under 100 lb *cover weight* can be a little flimsy and fall over when you start adding layers.

  • @CraftingWhileCaffeinated

    @CraftingWhileCaffeinated

    Yes and no. It depends on what weight of paper you use for your card base. A thicker 110# weight should stand up better than what I was using here. Also, a lot of weight of embellishment on the card front can cause any card some problems lol! And a really nice crease can help with standing. Thank you so much for watching and commenting!!!

    For a while there I was totally confused.A4 is normal letter size in europe. 4x A4 is A 2, so that was going to be huge. Good to be aware that sizes are not uniform all over the world, and even more so identical sizenames in eu and us make a HUGE difference

  • @CraftingWhileCaffeinated

    @CraftingWhileCaffeinated

    These sizes are the standard US sizes and in inches. A2 cards are 4.25 x 5.5 inches. You can make two cards from a standard 8.5 x 11 inch sheet of cardstock, which is the standard letter size in the US. Does that help?? I think you may be working in UK sizes, in which case you would be right! An A4 in the UK is closer to the US A2. So confusing and I should probably have specified that these are the standard US sizes and can be different elsewhere!
