Carbon Fiber and Epoxy Dash!

Here it is. Finally the boat is finished in this last portion of the series. Thanks for sticking with it thus far.
To be fair here as well, this video was done back in March of 2021. It’s not November of 2021 so it’s been there for a while now. I’ve used the boat all year and honestly fished more this year than I have in the last several years. Many tournaments and things like that as well and these panels and gauges have worked flawlessly. No fading of panels either if that comes in question. Absolutely a fantastic investment of time to do this here.
As always check something else out and like and subscribe and all that good stuff.
Thank you to everyone. Seriously I do appreciate the support. Stay tuned for some more stuff coming out soon as well.
The epoxy here is the Total Boat High Performance Epoxy and all of these gauges in the boat are the Sierra Amega gauges with backlighting preinstalled (be sure to get the right ones!)
Thanks again and stay safe out there.

Great job on doing this the first time! You gave me some ideas on how to spiff up my 93 Tide craft Bass boat, which I'm now completely restoring. Nice to know how easy the Total Boat products are to work with👍

Hey glad it helped! And thanks for the comment as well. Also I’m glad to see you’re keeping the old Tide Craft on the water. I love seeing the older boats out there still getting the love. Stay safe out there and enjoy the water!

Hey I appreciate that! Lots of work there mainly from a lot of trial and error but I’m pretty happy with it. I’ve had it on there through the whole tournament season and everything held up fantastic so far! Thanks for checkin’ it out! Take care and be safe out there

I would like to know how you made the bigger switch panel. I have a 97 model I am wanting to redo it myself.

Hey thanks for the question there and thanks for watching! My panel is just a piece of pine I believe it was a 2x6 but don’t quote me there. I just took the original panel out, traced it fairly wide then cut it with a jig saw (or band saw if it’s available.) after that it was just a lot of sanding to get the fit to be correct. The main part of it was done with my lathe, I’ve got a drum that goes on my lathe but can also go on a drill if you want. Shaped it with that and finished after the whole thing with a 1/2” round over bit on a router to get a uniform curve. Main thing is this. Coat the back with epoxy as well! I didn’t show it in the video but mine is coated front and back to prevent any water intrusion. Sorry for the long winded response but I hope this helps! If you’ve got any other questions feel free to reach out and I’ll help however I can. Thanks again and stay safe out there
