tommy has his fame for picking ,we've forgotten what an amazing rhythm guitarist he is .he's bloody amazing at creating and keeping a groove

I think Josho is one of the few guitarists in the world who can legitimately play lead to Tommy Emmanuel's rhythm guitar.

Tommy is an excellent rhythm player, check his duets with Martin Taylor. Anyway, being a rhythm player is nothing less than being a lead player. I would say soloing (skill) is overrated.

Joscho was born to play lead for this song in particular - his style is just perfect for it's speed and energy.

the joy and respect that passes between these two guys is unique and is just plain magic to watch

actually there were a couple places where timing got off by tommy VERY briefly but all in all an amazing performance. joscho is #1!

This looks and sounds like a conversation between two good friends. What a beautiful performance.

How lucky that the conditions of the universe caused these two to end up on a stage together! They really seem to get the best out of each other. That relentless swing of Tommy with those amazing and effortless variations that just seem to pull Joscho in to playing these amazingly creative lead solos. Beautiful example of two people from different parts of the world who completely understand each other through this universal language of music and visibly enjoy how well they understand each other 😀Very glad the video was suggested to me!

These two are SOOOooo disparate in backgrounds and geography and yet here they are, perfect compliments and adjuncts to one another musically !!! If Tommy takes an aspirin, it works for Joscho !!

I like the Caravan at the beginning and at the end of the beautiful improvisation where they forget what they play. Tommy is my idol 💖

For anyone who ever doubts the sheer joy of playing music , Tommy Emanuel's videos should be required viewing....

Tommy just keeps redefining himself and getting better. There’s nothing he can’t play, no one he can’t keep up with, and he’s always willing to play any style. Fantastic job from Tommy and Joscho both!

He's been playing guitar professionally for 62 years in all sorts of styles... and he's only 67.

Strictly from a technical pov, what i find mind-blowing is how they are able to avoid string slide buzz...at that speed, complexity and sheer force, it is puzzling how they do it.

Tommys level of improvisation never ceases to amaze me. Love that hes content sitting back and letting Joscho rip too.

Tommy did that for years playing back up for his late brother Phil. He's world famous for his lightening speed but there are few that can match Tommy's rhythm guitar playing. He's just amazing.

I'm pretty sure my guitar doesn't have all those notes on it ...

It just does not get much better than this...two of the best players of any era strutting their stuff and having fun...speed, accuracy and fluency all played in a casual atmosphere and exchange made to look effortless by two genius players...wonderful, wonderful stuff just breathtaking

Two of the finest craftsmen music has to offer, giving a demonstration of pure and unadulterated craftsmanship. Bravo!

On another video someone that once spoke with Tommy, told him that they would give their life if they could play like he does. To which, Tommy replied, I did!

In addition to the enormous skills of both guitarists, I am flashed by the humility with which both serve each other musically.

The two most astonishing acoustic guitarists of our age twisting the throttle wide open!

Gotta love and respect Tommy ! He's happy to play rhythm when necessary and let his guests shred .No ego whatsoever and gets to play with all the greats , while possibly being the best allround guitarist of them all !

The diminished 7th arpeggios at 1:29 are sick! And that's just the beginning. Joscho is to guitar what Hiromi Uehara is to piano. Total genius. Not just technique but pure soul.

Such a masterpiece. Those two is just GODLIKE in duo!

My acoustic just gave me a sad look and said it can't go on like this anymore and threw itself on the fire

This josco Stephen played some super fast super smooth and Brilliant licks like only a super Grandmaster guitaist can. Wow I was impressed

Joscho is right up there with the very best ever. Tommy has been there for many many years. I would pay serious money to see these two guys live. Astonishing virtuosos

Joscho has been born to this style of music, and he’s fabulous. Tommy will try ANY style of music, and excel in it. Oranges and Apples?

Jeeeezz Stephen is such a monster...... I never thought this level of playing would be achivable by a human being.

I'm not sure I breathed during the entire performance but I must have since it's six minutes long. Incredible guys! As a listener it's like riding a roller coaster. Don't think about where you were and don't think about what's next or you'll miss where you are right now. That was a great ride! Thank you.

Just brilliant. Tommy soars and takes everyone with him into the clouds. I wish I could feel his joy. He is having the time of his life and I am so happy for him.
