Things Cooley forgot to mention 1.This is a hybrid luxury car, so how is the interior compared to Lexus,Acura,BMW,Audi,Merc 2.As its a Hybrid, does it deliver the mpg as stated 3.Ride quality is pretty good, how good, give us a measuring stick comparison with Germans and Japanese as benchmarks From my experience of driving MKZ 2.0 ecoboost AWD Although I love Ford cars and I liked its design of MKZ in flesh where it its sure to turn heads, the total experience was not great, sure it felt better than a Acura but no way near as good as BMW,Mercedes the 2.0 turbo had enough power but the transmission is lazy to downshift the average mpg over a 40 mile course was 22 mpg combined Actually controversial to what Cooley tells, the steering was a lot better than what Acura,Audi,Cadillac has to offer much more feel and was accurate but at higher speeds(above 90 mph) it felt like over wight Ride quality was very good but not as good as BMW 3 series,Lexus, but way better than Acura and almost equal to Audi A4, the Mercedes C class was stiffer than Lincoln the interior quality was at best equal to what an Acura has, the paddle shifters were made of ugly plastics, there were scratchy plastics at certain unnecessary spots The rear seat room was very low compared to BMW,LEXUS,ACURA, it was a tad lesser than Mercedes C Class and A4 as well Ford has lot of work to do with Lincoln, as of now its not going to appeal to some one who has really felt the comfort and luxury of Germans and Japanese, also points out to the weakness of American engineering over European and Japanese American engineers are still no way near as good as Germans and Japs, Hope they will bring on Aluminium revolution to all Lincoln cars, that and that only can save Lincoln

i love my mkz hybrid. Its a 2015 base model. I bought it new. I have had no issues with it and it has 70k miles now. Everything he is saying here is true except the gas mileage. I have never reset the MPG meter on mine since i bought it. I live in an area with almost no hills. Climate is moderate and my commute is about 70% highway/30% city. I dont have a heavy foot.. The best mileage I can get out of it is 36 mpg. Still very good for the size of a car it is. The best part is, when gas prices were low, I was paying only about 25 dollars a month to fill it up!

I think this car looks great. If I wanted a luxury car I'd probably go for a Lincoln or Cadillac because they are still great looking and reliable vehicles without paying the huge price of BMW and Audi.

For the first time, I don't agree what Cooley said in the video. Of course Lincoln has gotten many places need to work on. But, when you compare to German premium big 3 and GM Cadillac. Lincoln hybrid is the cheapest one you can get. BMW Hybrid 3: $49900 Mercedes E400 Hybrid: $56700 Audi doesn't have hybrid sedan Cadillac ELR: $75000 How much is Lincoln Hybrid? $36000 At this price range, I think Lincoln hybrid has it's market place. It is a good looking car from inside to outside, ride quality is ok to most people. At least, I have no problem with it. I have tested drive once, it's good to me, too bad I went for Fusion Hybrid, because of the price. If I have $10000 more I probably will go for Lincoln. I am not gonna consider smaller BMW Hybrid 3, over priced E400. At last ELR? Are you kidding me? It is pretty much a Chevy Volt, Anyone pays $75000 has no sense of logic. Save $30000, get a Volt, you can travel the world for once

Brian you left out the new Focus 2015 does not use the old crappy MyTouch screen. I got my 2012 Focus with MySync and Ford sucks updating Microsoft hardware. It does NOT have Sync AppLink but the 2012 Fiesta n 2013 Focus does. Ford pulled the 2.0 update off there website so 2012 owners are screwed. The new MyTouch 2.0 was totally redesigned. I might spend the money and have my Ford dealer replace my Sync with the new Touch 2.0 if it is bug free, otherwise nah.

I disagree. Black is incredible - my coworker has a black one he gets compliments all the time. I am female & have a baby blue one - just love it. The open eagle wings in the front & the styling in the back is so unique - nothing like it, nothing even remotely close to how good the back looks on a sedan.😎

I have had this car for 6 months now. He is just talking nonsense about the transmission. If you are not heavy footed you will always have enough electric power to deliver a smooth acceleration. I had multiple people who did not believe this was a hybrid with 2l engine after going through 0-40 accelerations. Mostly becase electric motor does assist when you need power and the car is really quiet despite the CVT.This car is not meant to travel fast. You accelerate smoothly and slowly upto speed limit and let the electric motor deliver that 42MPG like I have got.

Publisher's Clearing House is planning to give away this car, fully loaded I think, along with $2 Million, and $10,000 per month for life on June 30, 2014. I doubt that would happen, because when they tried to give away money for life, such as $1,000,000 a year Forever, they couldn't find an "Early Look" to see the matching numbers.

looks way too much like a fusion (coming from a current gen fusion owner). except for the lack of a shift lever, the interior is almost identical. speakers on the doors, door locks, door pulls, dash, screen, instrument panel, steering wheel... aka everything you'll ever actually touch... looks and feels just like it does on the fusion. considering the price of this car starts where the fusion tops out, i think you'd be nuts to buy this over a fully loaded fusion unless you have more money than sense... in which case you wouldn't be considering either of these two cars. doesn't surprise me that the car doesn't sell well... $40,000+ is a lot for any car, and people aren't gonna pony up that kinda cash unless it feels expensive. this one just doesn't. still, definitely looks nice. but when was the last time anybody ever called the current gen fusion ugly...

  • @KatoJac

Absolutely no reason to get this over a fusion hybrid... Where's the luxury as opposed to a regular fusion, or any other hybrid. Yeah it looks pretty good, but looks to fall short compared to the competition.

It's not about going fast as its about reaponse for merging or initial acceleration. They could employ the motor to assist with demand until the vehicle gets up to desired speed like most other hybrids do with no fuel consumption penalty.
