Put a Sound Ordnance 4-channel in my daughter’s Jeep and it had horrible noise. Swapped to a Crescendo 4-channel and changed nothing else (power, ground, RCAs) and all the noise was gone. But had issues with reliability, so finally got JP84s back in stock and now we’re set.

I was really let down by the Sound Ordnance amp that I tested. You would think that Crutchfield would give accurate power ratings.

JP8 is a sweet little amp. I run a single 12" Skar SVR in a Skar Prefab in my work truck and it has preformed well for a couple of years now. That clip light is a game changer and I will never buy an amp without a clip light again. Makes setting gains simple and you can always crank your bass up to clipping without worrying about clip city as long as your subs can handle it. The Skar SVR surprised me and is happy take it at 1 ohm. I can get it stinky with the right tracks at full tilt and it has definitely got warm before but it has been running 2 1/2 years(I had a Rockville rva M3 pushing it before the JP8 and it was a decent amp but wasn't up to the abuse). People in the cars around you at a red light will feel it and you can be heard coming if thats your thing. Its ran at least an hour a day for 2 years with no signs of failure.

I have an Atoto stereo in my car. The one thing I hate about it is the album cover display! Haha, yes thats right. Instead of being square and showing the whole thing it spreads it out over the background and cuts off the top and bottom of the album cover. The one I got (F7 XE) is actual double DIN size so it fits correctly without cutting or trimming the install kit. It works well and does the job!

I put an Atoto S8 standard in my wife's car and it's freaking awesome. I used an oscilloscope to check the RCA outputs and they were clean until the last click on the volume knob. The wireless Android Auto is the bomb. I've bought 2 more Atoto S8s for my car and my project car. Dunno about the other Atoto models but we've been super happy with the S8 Atoto head units.

I love the ATOTO's, I've had to return 1 out of around 20 I've installed. Back during COVID when head units were impossible to get, I was buying refurbished ATOTO F7 XE's for $100-120 shipped and half the time they appear brand new. They've been GREAT for me. My one failure was past the return window but they still honored it for a refund. I know that's more the seller than ATOTO themselves, but regardless I love em. The ones I get don't have crossover settings or anything, but I only install them on setups with amps. The CC-1 handles the crossover setting on the amp. My main gripe with the ATOTO's I install is the ramp up on volume at the end, and when they start clipping it hits a wall and REALLY clips. I make sure customers know to not go past that point, I verify what volume clips for them with a DD-1. They're not perfect, but overall they serve their purpose. For a DIY'er without access to a lot of stuff I do, Crutchfield is a great place to buy what you need. It avoids any mistakes with their instructions and you know they'll include everything you need. I used to use Crutchfield a lot, I still do sometimes even for customers' cars. Sometimes their promos with free gear end up beating my prices, plus if my distributor is out of stock, I'll just grab it there.

Atoto is not the same as any random Chinese head unit they actually make custom software for the units they make and they send out updates even for the cheap units. I'm wondering if you reviewed an atoto unit? Because then you'd have a different opinion. Not all non huge branded stereos are trash

Hard pass on technology from the 90's ??? Really? All my amps are from the 90's when i bought them new. 3x alpine MRV1000's for front middl and rear. and 2x alpine MRV1507 amps for subs controlled with a alpine PXA-H 700. None of them have ever let me down. I did recap all of them about 5 years ago to freshen them up but never had a failure. I much prefer the sound of old school amps compared to the modern Power over quality crap. Iv just managed to get hold of an Orion HCCA 275G4 to restor
