Imagine being so into yourself (and probably emotionally abused as a child) that God hands you that on a silver platter and you still can’t be happy about life. And she loved him too much. Maybe if she had told him earlier to get a grip and make an effort, instead of being so kind to him always, he would have come to his senses and realize what he was about to lose…

How i wish there is 😢

She says her marriage did not reflect the passion in their music. Her husband was extremely talented and so was she, and that part was a match made in heaven. Behind the scenes, Toni did not always get the love and affection she wanted. She's such a lovely woman and my heart goes out to her. She divorced the Captain after 39 years of marriage. It broke my heart to hear this news from her.

Yes, it was unfortunate. She's a very lovely and warm woman. I think in a past interview, I remember she suspected that he may have had autism or some form of it. Back in those days, knowledge about this condtion wasn't as common as it is today.

@@esasoftware1900she did not leave him to die alone!!! Did you read the book? After they formally divorced they talked almost daily and she moved back to be closer to him. Got him into a better living situation and was with him when he passed away just Toni and no one else. You can love someone but not be able to live with them. She stayed way longer than she should have because she did love him so much but at like 70 something years old she definitely deserved to live with some happiness instead of what he had subjected her to.

Truly an underrated duo. This song is stellar and hard to compete with. Did you ever see Tennille without a smile on that beautiful face? Her voice is so pure and strong. Darrell left the beach boys and a large chunk of change in exchange for Tennille, at the risk of making nothing. I remember them as a kid back in the 70s

UNDERRATED . . . dude, you couldn't have been around back in the late 70s, dawg --- they and their music was on everywhere! They had their moment and it past! Not everyone is the Beatles and the Stones! They got much of the ❤ they warranted, son! They won Record of the Year and had five albums of gold or platinum variety! Sowhatchutalkinboutwillis!?

Well that platinum blonde Jayne Mansfield look Toni morphed into was a case of gilding the lily. I mean she was so naturally beautiful with that Vidal Sassoon 'doo why screw with perfection? If you don't believe me look up the video where she does Elton John's "Sorry Seems to Be the Hardest Word". Absolutely lovely. Now Darrell, (rest his soul) was a damn good musician, no doubt about it. But damn, he apparently didn't know how to take care of a hot tamale woman like Toni.
