This scene was more than just Steve accepting his fate, he was trying to trigger the Bucky's memories. He was trying to revive Bucky in a sense. Because sure his body survived, but the mind had been reprogrammed, rewritten, and Steve was attempting to get his Bucky back from all of the torture, all of the horrid things Hydra had done to him. Back from the twisted mess that is the Winter Soldier. This scene was Steve grasping a straws, hoping one of them might bring back his friend.

The score to that scene was incredible. The fact that they didn't kill off Winter Soldier/Bucky at the end is what makes me love this film the most, possibly more than Iron Man or Avengers since all other Marvel villains get killed off, but not him. We'll see him again for sure.

because technically he isn't a villian , more or less he is just an empty shell for a long time manipulated and used by everyone and everything in his life since he was among the captured 107th. i think having a character like bucky stay and watching him recover is a great representation of mental illness and also with the relationship he has with steve , speaks for itself really. so yeah , i understand this comment was made way before civil war film but they won't be getting rid of him any time soon :D

Now, after Infinity War, I REALLY hope we’ll see him again. What a sad end after all he went through and coming back so strong, only to vaporize at the snap of fingers.

Winter Soldier is the best movie because it captured all the elements: Pain, love, hatred, strength....All of it beautifully structured and presented. The soundtracks further heighten all that and make this fill with so much emotion. This track itself has the sorrow that will devour one and cry waterfall. This is simply a beautiful piece that I just can't listen to it without thinking about all the memories

The music is so hearty for the scene because it shows that bucky starts regaining his memory and because of the power of his and steves friendship.

It can even leave you wishing that despite all the good memories and love that you may have once shared with a certain person, that they never existed. So that you could just be spared of the pain you are feeling when you find out they no longer feel that way. Taking that leap into someone else's life, that risk.... Is really the bravest thing a man can do. Because even though love can heal many wounds, it can cause new ones, much, much deeper.

I loved them using this track for THAT SCENE in "Falcon and the Winter Soldier".

This track already had me in tears, but then Jackman used it when Sam wiped the blood off the shield and I was gone all over again.

“Your my mission” “Then finish it, cause I’m with ya, till the end of the line.” This scene always makes me cry! And this song is just so sad 😭😭 The fact that the line “I’m with you to the end of the line” affected Bucky like that shows how much of an impact their friend ship had. After 70 years of torture that one line, is what really helped Bucky.

This is such a stronger film than civil war

Ah this song gives me intense feels. Captain America will forever be my favorite.

Simple, extremely effective, captured every last shred of emotion depicted by the scene. An absolutely stunning score to say the least. It is music like this that makes me want to score movies. The ability to portray a scene perfectly, without being able to see it, is rare and beautiful. A masterpiece

fck ALL THE FEELS

If they ever make a live action movie adaptation of "batman: a death in the family" this theme would go great with Jason todd's death.

This film & Days of Future Past both shared similar character structure and heavy emotion. The scores to Winter Soldier (Henry Jackman, who is killing it now with Kingsman) & John Ottman (Days of Future Past, his most solemn, enigmatic, dramatically powerful score to date) SHOULD have been considered for Best Original Score Oscars OR Golden Globe Awards, at the very least.. This piece & "Hope", Days of Future Past' main theme (NOT the opening title score; that was just to open the film & showcase Bryan Singer' welcome return to the franchise), are the most emotionally staggering & brilliantly powerful melodies of their respective film scores. It pains me even further because both films, in my book, merit Best Picture nominations.. they were THAT excellent & engaging, both masterfully made & creatively inventive with their drama, characters, and storytelling; of course, the action was outstanding too. Don't get me wrong, I appreciate that Birdman, which I have not seen yet, was given the Oscar this year.. and Big Hero 6, which I love, rightfully received Best Animated Pic; I know you guys out there who love How to Train Your Dragon 2, which I also have not seen yet, are probably po'd that I said that.. but at least it did win the Best Animated Golden Globe Award. Hmm, strange coincidence - the entire show, the Academy had to pull all the tricks in the book for making jokes & accusations towards big blockbuster "mainstream" films, in this case Superhero Movies - Yet, in the end, they give the special awards to 1 animated flick, 1 arthouse film.. BOTH superhero films (in a sense). Does this draw the blurred line between where our sentiment is being considered for attention and what is/can be universally acclaimed, or, more obviously, is this just the Oscars flipping us fans the middle, handing the trophy to us in order to shut us up ? My heart broke

Captain America is not, and doubt will ever be my favorite Marvel superhero. I just never really felt for him the same way I did about Spider-Man or even Iron Man. That being said, he's still up there for me. It's amazing to see all the pain he carries with him. All the determination and will to keep fighting for what's right. I can absolutely understand why he is such an inspiration and role model to so many people. Hell, I'm nearly there with them.
