Church history is full of incredible stories, particularly 4th Century Christianity was a significant timeline in Church History. With The Edict of Milan in AD 313 it ends persecutions of Christianity, but then there are many heresies in Church. In First Ecumenical Council at Nicaea AD 325 firmly established that Jesus is truly God and truly man. Post Nicaean things were not in constructive way, there were many Bishops who drifted away from the Nicene Creed and Orthodox teaching.
During this time there were three Cappadocian's fathers Basil the great bishop of Caesarea, Gregory of Nyssa, Gregory the Theologian Bishop of Nazianzus. These Three Cappadocians are made significant contributions to the development of the doctrine of the Trinity and Christology. At the Second Ecumenical Council of Constantinople in AD 381, they firmly established the definition of the Trinity in life of the church. Here we should remember our church father Tertullian. He is the one who gives us this definition of the Trinity, that God is one in three persons. It was the Three Cappadocians that helped that sentence work its way into the life of the church.
