A lot of games missing (Magic Sword, SonSon, Cadillacs and Dinosaurs, Capcom Bowling, Alien vs. Predator, Black Tiger), but still a very good collection. Hopefully they are added in the future.

when beat em up bundle arrived, I was just not satisfied, it is awesome but it was not complete without punisher, alien vs pred, cadillac and dinos.. so I got fed up and found a solution.. “retropie”

As someone who makes realistic arcade bezels for MAME and Retroarch. It's awesome to see these Devs put more effort being put into making arcade bezels that give you a more authentic arcade experience.

@@T200026 I am. I'm currently converting many of the Retroarch bezels I made for MAME. It's just taking a long time.

Weirdly, when the game first launched, the eShop had every game listed for individual purchase, but they were greyed out, with only the bundles available to buy. Then by the next day the individual games were gone. I feel like it’s only a matter of time before we’ll be able to buy them piecemeal.

Bomberman is Komani not capcom. (And it WAS hudson soft back then)

I believe Alex meant that PSH was an early form of what evolved to become Bomberman. It was merely a piece of inspiration for Hudson Soft. Actually, saying this makes me want a Bomberman collection.

I bought Pack 3 for $15 and it was more than worth it! ProGear, GigaWing, Street Fighter, and a few beat em ups

The switch is my de facto arcade console, in the same way the Wii U is my de facto Virtual Console console and the PS Vita is my de facto retro Sony console.

PS4 is also good. It's not a bunch of M2 Shot trigger games. Switch has a couple of those releases too.

I'm sad no marvel vs. Capcom or capcom vs. Snk games. I hate licensing issues.

A part of me wants to add this collection to my library of Switch games. However, I really wouldn't be playing a lot of the games in the collection. I know the game has 2 free games, but I'm still not sure.

Yes, keep em coming. Only way I was finally able to play games like Earthbound was thanks to SNES mini, and can forget ever being able to afford Neo Geo stuff. Rereleases are never a bad thing.

​@@saysoun752 That's your choice to do so. I personally am not supporting companies with huge backlogs of IP's holding their games hostage and then only allowing access with purchases of relatively expensive bundle deals when these are most likely just roms ripped straight from the internet.

That super Street fighter 2 turbo is that the US arcade version? You can tell if it’s very hard on very easy setting

i played capcom's classic collection 1 and 2 on ps2 to death back in the day. its nice to see they added a bunch of newer stuff to these collections makes me at least want to buy the 2001 bundle (although i still have my ps2 so i'm not sure how bad i need commando and vulgus on the go)

No help needed for me as it was a buy as soon as I saw it on the Direct. I'm just going to wait a couple of months to see if Capcom will release a physical edition of it. I immediately jumped at the Capcom Beat Em Up bundle only for Capcom to release a physical copy a couple of months later, which I also bought.

Dude. If all these amazing arcade classics don't sway you, you must not be a fan of arcade games. These games are the who's who of arcade gaming.

having not bought the beat'em up pack, or the fighter bundle the arcade stadium full set was a good deal. Also I use a pro controller, but I think for $40 it wasn't a bad deal.

The one capcom arcade game I want isn't in the collection. I was ready to jump at my wallet... Three Wonders was the name of the bugger.

M2 did a fantastic job with this collection! They truly are the masters when it comes to emulation.

Even the manuals can be a tad lacking with the information. On 19xx there is one more item: Yashichi (1up). On some games hidden items got mentioned, but not the important 1up item on 19xx...

Dude how do u unlock the games I really wanna play street fighter 2 turbo but it wouldnt let me even with other games

great stuff, loved the presentation and they did well with the free download and 2 free games, but the thing is, either i need to buy them all or the bundles, and the bundles are hit or miss....so what i do , is wait a bit , maybe for a %40 discount on the whole package and pick it up, will have a great time, but as it is , kinda pricey for old games that most of us own a lot of them.....but still, kudos for capcom, they did the right move with this.

Did you end up getting the whole collection? It's down to $30 rn and I'm thinking about getting it. I know for sure I want 7 of these games with about 14 total that I will touch every now and then. I'm not sure when they let you buy single games but they're $2 each. So to me I think it's worth it at $30 at the most. If it was $20 then for sure it's a steal and I would jump on it right away.

What do you think about capcom censorring the E Honda stage by removing the sun in the background? It bothers my and I want to buy this collection but ........I really dont like the censor because it feel not authentic anymore. What do you think??😊

If you play these games already and quite regularly (and care for accuracy of emulation) then the fps drops and stuttering will infuriate you. Most prominent KZreadrs are not mentioning this much; but the stuttering is noticable to anyone who plays retro games on the Switch . I bought this game an every compilation they released on the Switch so far and this is unacceptable for those who want these games to be accurately curated on the Switch. They probably figured people would spam the rewind and fast forward feature; and not notice. I refuse to buy any more of these from Capcom until they patch this. Probably the reason why those bootleg Chinese arcade handhelds and at game legend devices still sell. Come on Capcom.

Your better off waiting on a physical version, the reason why I say this is because you have to download each game, there are three bundles on the eshop but all together will cost you 45 dollars to get. So it's best to wait a physical one is coming

No. You buy them in "packs". Volume 1 is 10 games as is the 2nd and third volume. Or you can do what I did and just get all three packs for 40 bucks. Amazing value in my opinion.

I'm not sure when they started this but you could buy single games now. I didn't go through with it but I did see the proceed with purchase button. The price is down to $30 now for all 30 games. I'm actually thinking of getting it. I know for sure I want 7 of these games. That would be $14 total at $2 each game. I could spend $16 more dollars just to get the rest of the 23 games. One thing though is there I know I will enjoy at least half of these games if anything so it might just be worth it.

The shudder & frame skipping is very noticeable in the fighting games...especially in Hyper Fighting where the speed of the game is not optimized like other emulation & home releases...its borderline unplayable! Also weaving through bullets in the modern shmups is annoying when the shots seem to stop then speed up outta nowhere.....this has to get fixed

Yeah, surprised that the review made no mention of the very obvious periodic stutter. Playing the free 1943 and witnessing it made me not want to buy any of the other packs - how the hell did they release the game in this state? Their other arcade collections didn't have this issue.

@@yellowblanka6058 they fixed many of the issues (guessing cus the game came out on other platforms, so they had to optimize it across the board) but some of the graphical glitches still remain...stuttering is nearly gone but some slowdown still exists 😕

@@ronaldodemetriusescondido3626 Yeah, I re-downloaded it out of curiosity and there was still a bit of very subtle stutter, but it was nearly imperceptible. That's disappointing to hear that there's slowdown though - it could be just how the original game ran on the arcade hardware and not necessarily the emulation, it was not unheard of for arcade games to slow down from time to time - Metal Slug 2 in particular was notorious for slowdown.

They're all arcade versions of al the games. Some games got Sega Genesis ports back in the day like Ghouls N Ghosts, Forgotten Worlds, etc but these are the arcade versions. Some games are Japan only and never got any ports before. A lot of value here IMO.

While it's awesome ( 3 packs $19.99 USD) x 3 = $57 (rounded up to $60.00) They have a robust library which is fun to explore. Definitely more than just SF. Revisiting the past is awesome. To be honest i have never bought any of the arcade collections before. But most of these titles I remember playing in arcades. Wonder if Nintendo & Capcom might collab to create an arcade based joy con.(without the issue of drifting) I would love to see that.

I didn't want to originally, but I ended up buying the entire collection on day one. What's wrong with me? I don't know! Since then I ordered a deluxe fight stick and several other beat em up games? 🥴

Physical release would be nice but I bet it would be left to limited run to release it in 3 years and sell all the copys to scalpers

Street fighter 30th anniversary collection on the switch is the best way to play it and it's only $20 dollars for a physical copy

I've beaten these games in the arcade numerous times and maybe it's just me being a classic gamer since the 70s the difficulty is weird in this and overly unforgiving especially in commando and final fight. And yes I changed the difficulty settings and played the emulator versions for a comparison and something is definitely wrong with the difficulty

I would like to Capcom release an update to this collection to have the Darkstalkers games released. At least Night Warriors or Vampire Savior.

I think street fighter would be the only one I would want out of them and that robot fighting one. Other then that ehhhh in Canada it’s almost 55 dollars to get them all and I think that’s a bit much

It was definitely worth it a few days ago when you could download it for free and still get two classic games

The dupes from the Street Fighter & Beat'em Up Collections is a bit annoying so I only got the freebie downloads. It would have been nice if Capcom had just waited and created one unified package.

It looks like a very good collection, but I'll wait for it to come to steam. I have bought many of these games digitally on previous Nintendo consoles on the virtual console and just conveniently is not available on the Switch so they can recharge again greatly irritates me. This reason and the fact consoles are not very well made has made me go to PC gaming.

I want just street fighter 2 on playstation. But why does it cost £11.99 ? For 10 games how do you buy just a single game

The fact that they added a fully translated version of Cyberbots is worth the money. They only released it in Japan and on the Vita as the Playstation port. Nice to see it here.

I purchased the fighting game pack mostly to revisit Cyberbots and because I don’t have a street fighter game on my Switch (gotta have an SF game on every console) I’d say it’s definitely NOT worth the money! Most of these games can be purchased just about anywhere on ANY console or PC. Unless there’s that one single gem you can’t find anywhere else (cyberbots for me) The worst thing is that you’re forced to buy packs, instead of just the games you want.

I've heard that it got "Mostly Negative" reviews on Steam. Mainly due to the fact that it has on-disc DLC, and that they charge you extra for more content. You only get one game for free, and if you want to get more you have to pay extra. What a rip-off.

There was a game like 1943 in Game Maker, Game Maker is an amazing piece of software for the PC, not sure if available for Mac, maybe I should of stuck and kept using Game Maker, as gaming is my special interest . I also do like doing research on gaming.

@@bland9876 this one (from wiki): Dungeons & Dragons Collection is a two-disc compilation of the previously released arcade games Dungeons & Dragons: Tower of Doom and Dungeons & Dragons: Shadow over Mystara. It was released only in Japan on March 4, 1999, exclusively for the Sega Saturn. There is a maximum of two players instead of the original four. It would be good if we get it ported to the switch. Haha

I was planning on buying it, but Capcom altered street fighter. Why would the flag of Hong Kong need to be removed from a game set during before it was transferred back to China?

PLEASE DO NOT JUMP INTO CONCLUSIONS THIS FAST SIR! AND TELL US THAT THIS OVERPRICED AND LAZY CHEAP BUNDLE IS WORTH 40 BUCKS !!!!! If you own the "Street fighter 30th anniversary" and "Capcom Beat 'em up Bundle" which I do and love for their online multiplayer feature, you are looking at many repeated games. In this Crapcom Stadium bundle, only the first of the 3 DLC packs (10 games each) won't have repeated roms. Otherwise you are looking at 3 duplicates in the 2nd pack and 5 in the 3rd pack (8 in total) without mentioning the lack of Online Multiplayer so far, which I think you failed to mention The repeated games are as follow: Pack 2: Final Fight Street Fighter II World Warrior Captain Commando Pack 3: Warriors of Fate Street Fighter II' Hyper Fighting STREET FIGHTER II TURBO Powered Gear (also known as Armored Warriors) Battle Circuit (I will not comment about the quality of games on the first pack because tastes vary between people but just know that it has the oldest games of the 3 packs)

Unless someone is forcing their kid to play retro games exclusively, I can guarantee games like this are NOT bringing old games to new players. They are for the old players with new consoles that miss what they used to have. It's pure nostalgia, no kid today is playing Capcom's arcade classics over Fortnite unless they're a "hipster" in which case they're doing it for the irony. These collections are cash grabs, nothing more.
